Primary Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) engineering discipline, ensuring technical excellence and integrity across all phases of large-scale gas processing projects. Oversee design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities while meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the CSA discipline, ensuring allocation of technical authority and delivery of high-quality engineering services.
- Safeguard the technical integrity of CSA design and engineering, ensuring safe, cost-efficient, and timely execution.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage CSA engineering resources to achieve project deliverables.
- Implement company engineering standards, technical assurance, and standardization.
- Offer expert guidance on discipline matters across design, construction, and commissioning stages.
- Act as Technical Authority (TA-2) for CSA engineering; approve deviations, waivers, and variations except where higher-level approval is required.
- Collaborate with senior technical authorities (TA-1) and department management for critical reviews.
- Oversee the creation of engineering scopes and ensure deliverables meet applicable standards, codes, and project philosophies.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary engineering reviews, including HAZID, ENVID, SIMOPS, 3D model reviews, and constructability assessments.
- Participate in assurance reviews and audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Manage discipline interfaces and guide contractors to incorporate safety, cost, start-up, and constructability in designs.
- Build strong professional relationships with EPC contractors, addressing technical queries and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Monitor project-wide CSA activities and address critical resourcing or technical issues with senior management.
- Provide technical input for contract preparation, procurement, bid evaluations, and resolution of contractor queries.
- Support construction and commissioning phases by resolving engineering issues.
- Approve CSA design calculations, reports, specifications, and vendor data.
- Oversee QA/QC implementation for CSA deliverables to meet project standards.
- Supervise and mentor team members, facilitating training and career development for junior engineers and local talent.

- Make key technical decisions regarding CSA design quality, safety, and standards compliance.
- Resolve complex technical challenges during project execution.
- Operate within established company policies, industry codes, and best practices.
- Frequent exposure to overseas assignments and culturally diverse environments.
- Involvement in onshore oil and gas fabrication, installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Managing complex, multi-discipline engineering tasks requiring innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Balancing competing technical requirements, tight schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
- Identifying technical risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with statutory and external standards.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of CSA engineering experience in the oil and gas sector, including 10 years in onshore gas processing or refinery projects.
- At least 7 years as Lead Discipline Engineer on major EPC projects with reputable engineering consultancies, EPC contractors, or oil and gas operators.
- Strong knowledge of international CSA design codes; familiarity with regional standards is a plus.
- Proficient in all EPC project deliverables, design phases, and construction practices.
- Deep expertise in CSA engineering, with cross-discipline understanding highly valued.
- Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and reporting skills, with a proactive and results-driven approach.

To be successful, you must be a qualified Structural Engineer, with 5+ years of experience, a frequent user of FEM analysis software, and possess a solid understanding of current structural engineering technologies applied in the design and delivery of medium-to-large scale building projects.
You will also have:
•Proven core Structural Engineering skills and design experience

Job Description
- Planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects.
