Position: School Nurse

Job Summary:

The School Nurse will provide preventive and emergency care to students. This role includes educating students on hygiene and how to prevent communicable diseases, developing healthcare initiatives, and ensuring that medical supplies and equipment for first aid and emergency care are available and in working condition. The School Nurse will also assist in conducting medical examinations to detect early health issues that may impact learning, plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs, and maintain necessary records and reports as per guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventive Care:
  Educate students on how to avoid communicable diseases and practice proper hygiene. Develop healthcare initiatives for the school.
• First Aid and Emergency Care:
  Provide first aid or emergency care to sick and injured students. Ensure that all necessary medical supplies and equipment are available and functioning in the school clinic.
• Health Assessment:
  Assess the needs of students requiring first aid care and administer treatment as appropriate.
• Medical Examinations:
  Assist in conducting medical examinations for students to detect early signs and symptoms of health issues that could affect their learning.
• Health Education Programs:
  Plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs for students.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Maintain and submit necessary records, reports, and knowledge as per guidelines and regulations.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications:
  • Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse in Qatar.
  • Certified in CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Sound working knowledge of professional nursing principles and practices, as well as school health.
• Experience:
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health nursing, or pediatric nursing.
  • Previous experience with Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) is preferred.
  • Experience in an international school or tertiary education environment is preferred.
• Personal Qualities:
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, ambitious, and energetic.
  • Flexible to work outside of office hours when required.

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Female School Nurse (Filipina) to provide healthcare support to students and / or individuals in a school or private setting in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely cares about student well-being, is ready to provide first aid when needed, and is always there to support students’ health and safety in a warm and approachable manner. Key Responsibilities :

• Provide first aid and medical care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential medical records.
• Handle medical emergencies and chronic health conditions.
• Create individualized health plans for students with medical needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers.
• Promote health education and wellness within the school or home environment.

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications :

Recognized and approved BSc Nursing, preferably with Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) License is a must.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

With valid RP (Resident Permit) and can transfer sponsorship .

Preferably Filipina

Previous experience in pediatric, school, or private nursing is plus points.

CPR and First Aid certifications (if any).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.

Fluency in English.

Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and protocols in Qatar.

Employment Type : Full-time - will be transfer under our sponsorship. Location : School / Private Residence, Qatar.
