Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network Administrator to support a dynamic customer by providing networking and systems support across multiple networks. This position will be located in Doha, Qatar and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer systems (to include operating systems, software and hardware) in networked or stand-alone configurations, maintains system integrity, and upgrades systems and/or servers as required. May create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to procedures. Consults with support teams, help desks, customers and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems. May plan for the transition of development and/or production environments to new technologies, utilize system software to monitor the performance of system files, manage system data to maintain performance efficiencies and/or study system requirements to determine proper server installation methods and procedures.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network/system security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Provides regular monitoring and analysis regarding short and long-range planning for in-house systems.
- Prepares or ensures that appropriate documentation exists, including operational instructions.
- Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks.
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Qualifications:
- Required Clearance; TS/SCI
- High School Diploma and 3-6 years of experience
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (copy presented with application) or equivalent Microsoft certification
- CompTIA Security Plus certification or higher certification (copy presented with application)
- Current and active U.S. Passport
- Current and active U.S. Driver's License
- Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments
- Must be medically/physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Nair Systems is currently looking for System Administrator - Patch Management for our Qatar operations with the following Skill set and terms & conditions.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor Degree in IT or IT related field
6 minimum years' experience in developing software applications, preferably, out of which at least 3 years with insurance applications. Mainly in DWH systems with SAP Business Objects, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS)
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills Release Management and version control knowledge
Excellent Business and system analysis skills
Project management skills
IT Security excellent awareness
Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure)
Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems
Creating volumes, assigning to servers and remote replication
Proven experience in a network administrator role
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
Ability to set up and configure server hardware
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
