Trace Systems is seeking a dynamic Systems Engineering Lead to join our team in support of the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) contract at Doha, Qatar . This role offers the opportunity to design, manage, and optimize engineering support for Enterprise networks, systems, and infrastructure. The Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To- Perform advanced technical support and O&M support activities and coordinate maintenance/restoration efforts and priorities, as required;
- Serve as networks/systems engineering subject matter expert for communications and IT installation, upgrade, integration, removal, and projects;
- Manage effective delivery of Tier 2/3 technical support;
- Analyze and translate operational requirements into the communications and IT hardware/software, infrastructure, and service solutions designed to meet those needs;
- Develop and provide detailed engineering solutions and cost estimates;
- Perform and facilitate network and systems architecture planning, design, implementation, integration, testing, and acceptance support activities;
- Conduct technical feasibility analyses, engineering studies, and performance testing and measurement on networks/systems in order to identify performance vulnerabilities and weaknesses; and report findings to the government;
- Recommend network/system hardware and software solutions and upgrades to promote efficient and effective performance;
- Facilitate experiment, research and development, modeling, and simulation projects, as required;
- Develop and submit associated network/systems engineering documentation, studies, plans, diagrams, drawings, and reports, as required by the government;
- Evaluate organizational engineering processes and workflows; and provide recommendations for continuous process improvement;
- Analyze overall health, operational capability, and capacity of infrastructure and services; and recommend courses of action to address any deficiencies or shortfalls;
- Develop and maintain AOC Weapons System network/systems/server configuration and connectivity drawings, diagrams, documentation, and plans;
- Develop and submit an Enterprise Systems Engineering Monthly Status Report;
- Develop and submit an AOC Weapons Systems Engineering Monthly Status Report;
- Coordinate sourcing of operational C4ISR system data (e.g., mapping and imagery data, Air Tasking Order/Air Coordination Order databases);
- Manage, guide, and train other IT Engineering personnel to ensure effective delivery and operation of the enterprise IT capabilities; and
- Global travel up to 10%.
- Other Duties as Required.
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
- 4+ years IT domain knowledge

is for a Professor of the Practice, a long-term and renewable full-time, on-campus, non-tenure-track position
that focuses primarily on teaching a moderate number of courses, with involvement in advising Master of Engineering Projects. Applicants should indicate the range of areas they are interested in within their cover letter. Professors of the Practice provide practice-oriented instruction based on extensive experience outside academia. Although Professors of the Practice may have additional service or outreach obligations, teaching is their primary responsibility. The Systems Engineering Program builds upon the broad expertise of Cornell faculty. We offer unique transdisciplinary master’s and doctoral education to prepare systems engineering leaders engaged in complex engineering, socio-technical, and policy challenges. The program attracts students from a variety of disciplines, companies, and countries. You will be part of a growing program and be able to make a direct contribution to developing it further. The faculty hired into this position will be central to the development of the program and will be fully involved in all strategic decisions and operational needs of the program.
As a full member of the Systems core faculty, individuals selected for this position as a Professor of the Practice are expected to contribute to our educational mission by teaching, including a small number of existing well-developed analytically based graduate-level courses, maintaining course content currency and relevance by keeping pace and sometimes contributing with research developments in systems and advising graduate-level systems projects. Communicate with Ministry of Interior for various Approval process, Approval Follow up Etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Active and Passive IT, Telecom, ELV, Security Fire Alarm, Queue Management, CCTV, Access Control and Clinical IT infrastructure & systems design contents as assigned together with its follow-up for Authorities and Client's approval.
- Responsibilities include designing Active and Passive IT infrastructure, Telecommunication services, fire alarm and voice evacuation systems, earthing / bonding, low current and extra low voltage services, automatic controls, BMS, SCADA and as well as other related electrical utility systems.
- Responsible for the preparation of IT design calculations, UPS Power Calculation, Network Storage Calculation, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects.
- Responsible for participation in design progress and design coordination meetings of the design projects.
- Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments to obtain approval at all stages of the design development of Projects.
- Coordination with other Discipline Engineers (Sales Engineer, Installation Site Engineer, Supervisor, Project Management Team, Network Engineer ) as applicable for the continuity of the design projects.
- Responsible for the design review of the Active and Passive IT, Telecom, ELV, Security Fire Alarm, Queue Management, CCTV, Access Control and Clinical IT infrastructure & systems.
- Participation in design review meetings and workshops. If required.
- Preparation of meeting records, design review and design progress reports.
- Ensure use of converged backbone and IP telephony and other latest developments in his / her field of design.
- Liaise with Local suppliers / Contractors to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works required by client.
Communicate with Various Vendors to provide the necessary BOQ and Costing for the required Materials
Communicate with the Vendor Technical Team for any technical solutions required based on the Proposed BOQ
- Validate & check design drawings for IT/ Communications Systems & Security during planning and construction phases of the design projects.
- Provide guidance and advice to the draftsmen for options for production of design drawings.
- Supervise and confirm the QA/QC procedures. Provide other support as required from time to time
