Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Laundry Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
• Fix and repair linen, uniforms, drapery, etc.
• Perform minor mending or alterations to guest garments.
• Ensure repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
• Maintain an orderly workplace and clean surfaces daily.
• Assist with inventories as required.
• Support other duties within the linen/laundry area as necessary.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Attend training courses provided by Housekeeping / Human Resources.
• Observe all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, vocational training, or 1 year of work experience.
• Fluency in the local language.
• Basic understanding of the English language is desirable.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel housekeeping department is desirable.

Job Description

• To make sure workplace is orderly kept and surfaces are cleaned daily
• To assist with inventories when required
• Helps out on other duties deemed necessary within linen/laundry area
• Report to Supervisor any equipment malfunctioning, or anything which may be a Health & Safety hazard
• Attend any training courses given by Housekeeping/Human Resources Department
• To make sure all Health and Safety matters are observed

Qualifications

1. High School diploma, vocational training and/or 1 year work experience
2. Fluency in ***local language*** essential
3. Basic understanding of the English language desirable
4. Ability to lift/carry requirements up to 25 lbs.
5. Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping department desirable

What do we expect from you?
Under the general guidance of the Executive Housekeeper or any other authorized by the management, assist in ensuring smooth and efficient maintenance of employee uniforms, guest requests, hotel fabrics, and other requests typical of a person in this role. Ensure internal and external guests of the hotel are treated fairly and consistently in a timely manner, receiving high quality, personalized service, and an engaging, dynamic guest experience.

How your day looks like?

• Use the hotel garment management system to track the status of all uniforms and monitor the uniforms going in and out for cleaning
• Issue uniforms to employees
• Measure employees or guests for alterations
• Perform alterations and repairs on employee and guest garments
• Assist in inspecting guest laundry for delivery to guest rooms
• Assist laundry with pressing or cleaning for guests or employees
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of all equipment used on the job, report any defects immediately
• Record all guest preferences and submit to appropriate parties to keep an accurate database
• Assist the housekeeping house persons, laundry attendants, and/or turndown attendants as needed
• Carry out any projects and assignments as directed by the Executive Housekeeper
