Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles relevant to the organization's operations and jurisdictions.

Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting complex tax regulations, conducting tax research, and analyzing financial data to identify tax planning opportunities and risks.

Proficiency in tax software and financial management systems is necessary for preparing and filing tax returns accurately and efficiently, as well as for managing tax-related data and documentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for effectively liaising with internal stakeholders, external tax advisors, and tax authorities, as well as for conveying tax-related information to non-financial stakeholders.

To manage and execute all tax collection activities with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The Tax Collection Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely collection of tax revenues, handling delinquent accounts, and providing professional support to taxpayers while safeguarding government financial interests. Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end process of tax collection, ensuring compliance with national tax regulations and internal procedures. Monitor taxpayer accounts and follow up on outstanding tax payments, arrears, and penalties. Analyze and reconcile tax payment records, financial statements, and taxpayer data. Implement collection strategies, negotiate payment arrangements, and ensure timely resolution of cases. Prepare and issue official tax notices, reminders, and settlement agreements. Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and enforcement teams in cases of disputes or escalations. Provide guidance and professional support to taxpayers regarding collection procedures and obligations. Develop and maintain accurate records, reports, and performance metrics for tax collection activities. Recommend improvements in collection processes to enhance efficiency and revenue performance. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal frameworks and the Tax Authority’s policies. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus). Minimum 10 years of experience in tax collection, revenue management, or related financial roles, preferably within a governmental tax authority. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, collection procedures, and enforcement mechanisms. Strong expertise in financial analysis, reconciliation, and taxpayer account management. Proven track record in managing complex collection cases and resolving disputes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities (verbal and written). High proficiency in tax systems, ERP (SAP/Oracle), and MS Office applications. Ability to work under pressure and manage large volumes of taxpayer accounts. Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to public service. Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable. Seniority level
