We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our team and ensure our facilities remain safe, fully functional, and well-maintained at all times. The Engineering Supervisor assists in the daily supervision of the Engineering Department and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the hotel s buildings, systems, and equipment. This role supports operational excellence and guest satisfaction by leading a team of technicians and coordinating maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering staff and contractors.
- Perform routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and inventory.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and sustainability efforts.
- Ensure team compliance with safety policies, health regulations, and hotel standards.
- Assist in training and development of junior technicians.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel or commercial building maintenance environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical License, or EPA Certification) are a plus.

Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Manager for a major project in central Doha, valued at over 4 billion AED (~800 million GBP). The project includes 14 buildings, ranging from mid-rise towers (15-30 storeys) to high-rise (40+ storeys), a major shopping mall, a large-scale mosque, and a bespoke 5-star hotel.
The program duration is approximately 2.5 years, with the project team based in central Doha.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with main contractors involved in large-scale projects such as hospitals, airports, major hotel brands, high-rise towers, and shopping centres/malls.
Candidates should have worked with top-tier contractors on projects exceeding 2 billion AED in the GCC region, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, KSA, and Oman.
Responsibilities include managing sizable teams, coordinating, managing subcontractors, engineering reviews, design meetings, and overseeing engineering and site teams. The role reports to the Project Director, who has a track record of high-profile, high-value projects.
Requirements:
- 20 years of experience with contractors
- 5-10 years as an Engineering Manager or similar role
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
The client offers a package ranging from 50,000 to 65,000 QAR, plus flights and medical benefits.
