Overview
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to deliver high-quality design and engineering support for oil and gas / industrial telecommunication projects in the Middle East. This position involves developing and reviewing detailed designs, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards for both onshore and offshore applications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform concept, FEED, and detailed design tasks for telecommunication systems in oil and gas environments.
Deliver engineering designs for a range of systems including:
ICT networks (LAN, WLAN, telephony)
Radio systems (VHF, UHF, DMR, microwave)
Security and surveillance (CCTV, access control, PIDS)
Public address and life safety systems (PAGA, page party)
Marine safety and communications
Entertainment and lifestyle systems
Cabinets, OSP/ISP cabling, and related infrastructure
Conduct site surveys to gather data for engineering deliverables.
Prepare standard telecom documentation such as site survey reports, design basis, specifications, datasheets, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, layouts, typical installation details, calculations, schedules, MTOs, and material requisitions.
Liaise with clients and participate in internal and external meetings.
Ensure compliance with relevant technical, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecom design and engineering for oil and gas or industrial projects, preferably in the Middle East.
Strong technical knowledge of telecom systems for both onshore and offshore environments.
Demonstrated ability to conduct site surveys and produce detailed engineering deliverables.
Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
Experience with major regional operators is an advantage.
Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
