Reports To: Telecom Engineer / Technical Supervisor
Job Purpose
The Telecom Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The role supports day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance activities, and project-based telecom infrastructure works in compliance with industry and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test telecom systems including PABX, fiber optic cables, copper cables, data networks, and wireless communication systems.
- Set up and integrate voice and data communication equipment such as routers, switches, modems, and VoIP systems.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on telecom equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair faults in cabling, devices, and communication systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests and resolve connectivity issues.
- Cabling & Infrastructure Work
- Pull, terminate, and label cables (fiber and copper) according to standards.
- Perform fiber splicing, testing, and OTDR analysis.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare daily/weekly work reports and update asset registers.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all telecom work adheres to Qatar's regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
- Follow established protocols for working in confined spaces or hazardous environments when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in telecom installation and maintenance, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic systems, PABX, structured cabling, and data network equipment.
- Knowledge of telecom testing tools and procedures.
- Familiarity with Qatar telecom regulations and safety standards.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Position**:Network Technician**
- Job Location_: Doha, Qatar
**Salary**: QR 2,500/month
- and above. Based on experience and qualifications
**Qualification**:
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for all Taleb Group of Company's networking and user issues.
- Maintain Network connectivity from HO to other all Branch offices and schools
- Coordinate with the IT Team and resolve the issues
- Create VPN Connections for Remote Users and sites
- Configure, install, upgradation and maintenance Fortigate Firewall and Juniper Firewall for all site locations
- Maintain and configure all Routers and Switches in the Taleb group of companies
- Implement new network topology for new Sites with diagrams, and provide required information
- Install and Maintain Wi-Fi Router and Ooredoo Fiber/ADSL Routers at all school's accommodation villas, coordinate with Ooredoo support for network issues
- Check the Connectivity for NEW IP MPLS VPN and INTERNET IP VPN links and bandwidth performance for all Taleb group Companies, If any Issue with MPLS VPN / Internet VPN coordinate with the Ooredoo Support Team,
- Maintain All Server Backups on a daily basis.
- Microsoft support vendors
- Complete Management requirement tasks as required
- Coordinate with Vendor and Supplier for quotation and support as per requirement
- Give support for Receiving calls and requests from as user requirement**Application**:
Pay: From QAR2,500.00 per month
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Network Technician: 2 years (preferred)
