We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead and manage commissioning activities for major offshore oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will have extensive commissioning experience across multi-discipline systems and will provide technical leadership, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the client as Commissioning Team Leader for assigned offshore projects. Review and provide feedback on contractor scopes of work related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and completion activities. Lead project pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up engineering support services delivered by contractors, ensuring adherence to company regulations, procedures, and industry standards. Report to Head of Commissioning on all matters related to execution and successful completion of commissioning activities. Contribute to the improvement and standardisation of commissioning procedures and deliverables. Develop commissioning strategies and plans, obtain necessary approvals in consultation with end users, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Lead the commissioning team in developing and approving procedures for all systems and facilities. Organise and ensure availability of the commissioning team and coordinate required manpower support from contractors and end users.
Essential Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university. Extensive commissioning experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally including offshore projects. Strong technical expertise in commissioning of systems such as F&G Systems, DCS, ICS, Power Management Systems, Instrument Air, Wellhead Control Systems, etc. Minimum 12-14 years' relevant experience in construction, installation, and commissioning activities. Experience with commissioning software such as ICAPS or similar. Multi-discipline engineering exposure with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of construction management practices, conflict resolution, and effective communication skills.
