Senior Road and Design Engineer

:-Lead and manage engineering teams on complex infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and related utilities.

:-Ensure the technical excellence of designs, review drawings and specifications, and provide guidance to junior engineers and CAD designers.

:-Develop designs for horizontal and vertical alignments, ramps, interchanges, and other road features

:-Interact and coordinate with various technical disciplines, clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to meet project requirements

:-Proven experience (often 5-10+ years) in road and highway design, with demonstrated leadership experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Management Officer to join our team in Doha, Qatar for a Roads Operation & Maintenance Contract.

• Develop and implement comprehensive traffic management strategies to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow
• Analyze traffic data using advanced software tools to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement
• Design and oversee the implementation of traffic control systems, including traffic signals, road signs, and pavement markings
• Collaborate with urban planners and engineers to integrate traffic management solutions into new development projects
• Conduct regular assessments of traffic safety measures and recommend improvements
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on traffic management initiatives and their outcomes
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective traffic management during special events or emergencies
• Stay updated on the latest traffic management technologies and best practices, implementing innovative solutions when appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field

· Knowledge of the importance of planning and liaising with the local roads' authority

• Prepare, submit, and obtain approvals for Traffic Diversion Plans (TDP) from relevant authorities, including Ashghal and other local bodies.
• Coordinate with project teams to develop site-specific traffic management strategies in line with project timelines.
• Ensure full compliance with PWA regulations.
• Review project drawings and conduct site inspections to ensure suitability of proposed traffic solutions.
• Monitor ongoing traffic diversions and suggest modifications for improved flow and safety when required.
