Job Description
- Review technical aspects of tenders which relate to surveying and mapping activities, to identify and assess the technical strength of Contractors.
- Participate in tender evaluation committee meetings.
- Provide supervision and quality assurance of Contractor field activities related to ongoing projects to ensure that data collection and surveying methodology are being followed, while ensuring health and safety requirements.
- Review Contractor project deliverables related to surveying and data collection to ensure compliance to Contract requirements.
- Maintain survey related equipment and have an awareness of technological advances in Geomatics in order to recommend use of such developments were considered applicable.
- Develop and maintain procedures to ensure a standard and quality of all topographical surveying, site engineering and mapping activities.
- Witness and advise on hydrographical surveying, LiDAR and other data collection activities carried out by Contractors
- B.Sc. or Higher Technical Diploma related to Surveying and mapping. Membership of a recognized professional Institution would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in surveying, of which 5 years should be related to large construction projects in the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of field surveying equipment and related survey software, AutoCAD and ArcGIS suite of GIS software.
- Experienced Surveyor responsible for preparation / review of project survey scope and method statements, supervision / inspection of Contractor s survey works, review and approval of project survey reports and deliverables, setting out and carrying out positional / dimensional checks for pipeline construction projects to ensure that construction is carried out as per design drawings.
- Will be involved in all levels of a project, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, requiring a high level of working knowledge and experience in order to advise on surveying and mapping issues.
- Will also participate in planning and executing survey work to reflect the field changes in Corporate Geographic Information System.

Responsible for the financial management and cost control of construction projects from the initial budget to the final completion.
Major Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budgets for all project disciplines, including civil, architectural, MEP, and ELV works, based on design documents and specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and other related procurement materials to solicit bids from contractors and suppliers.
- Administer and manage all project contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions and managing all financial aspects.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate the financial impact of variations, change orders, and claims, and prepare detailed reports for project management.
