We are hiring Travel Operations Specialists to join our Business Services team, ensuring smooth travel for colleagues and guests from countries all around the world to our company meetings and industry events. Our team set travel policy, support travel decisions, respond to travel emergencies and are responsible for supplier relationships.
We look for positive team players who are self-driven and results oriented, with excellent attention to detail. The best candidates show that they are forward planners, reliable and determined, and keen to assume responsibility for projects, processes and policy. We are a unique global business, so we are not looking for candidates with extensive experience so much as excellent organisers and communicators who are keen to develop skills and strive for continuous improvement.
Location: Worldwide - home based, except in locations where we have an office, such as London, Taipei and Beijing.
Responsibilities
- Engage with colleagues to address travel queries and issues
- Work with the wider business services team on company and industry event plans
- Hold travel vendors accountable for providing excellent service
- Check invoices to ensure accurate charges and timely payments, credits and refunds for travel
- Monitor trends, spend, emissions and compliance with company policy
- Track unused tickets, credits and airline points usage
- Excellent academic results at school and university
- A degree in a business or technical subject
- Excellent communication skills
- Responsible and accountable
- Self-awareness and thoughtfulness
- Ability to travel up to four times a year for company events of up to two weeks duration
- Ability to learn new technology and software quickly

Provide the necessary technical support and advice to all departments under Marine and Logistics Operations in all matters related to Environmental Compliance Monitoring and in coordination with other departments to achieve the following objectives:
- Compliance to the State's Environmental Laws and regulations.
- Marine and logistics to meet the requirements as stipulated in permits pertinent to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC).
- Compliance to Qatar Energy approved HSE Conservation & Protection Policy.

- Monitor Environmental Conditions: Use a variety of tools, sensors, and instruments to monitor environmental conditions, including pollutants, chemical concentrations, and ecological health.
- Conduct Field Research: Perform on-site visits to assess environmental conditions and collect samples, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data collection.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that environmental monitoring activities comply with regulatory standards set by local, national, and international authorities (e.g., EPA, WHO).
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze Environmental Data: Analyze environmental data to identify trends, assess the level of pollution or contamination, and evaluate potential risks to public health and the ecosystem.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA):
- Conduct EIAs: Assess the potential environmental impact of new projects, industrial processes, or activities, identifying areas of concern such as air and water quality, waste management, or habitat disruption.
- Evaluate Mitigation Strategies: Propose mitigation strategies to reduce negative environmental impacts, such as pollution control measures, habitat restoration, or energy-saving initiatives.
- Prepare EIA Reports: Develop comprehensive environmental impact assessment reports for submission to regulatory bodies or internal stakeholders.

SKILLS:
- Ability to apply knowledge and expertise using original and innovative professional approaches and techniques to resolve environmental monitoring and compliance issues relating to oil & gas or offshore operations.
