About the Role As the

Project Manager

within the Strategy Team, you will play a critical role in driving the execution of strategic initiatives across technology, product innovation, and service enhancement. You will ensure alignment between strategic vision and delivery, with a strong focus on governance, planning, and cross-functional coordination. You will bring deep program management expertise, understand both physical and digital ecosystems, and navigate complex stakeholder environments to support initiatives such as inflight entertainment, connected cabin experiences, food and beverage, and emerging service technologies.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation of governance frameworks for customer experience and product development initiatives, ensuring adherence to organisational standards, processes, and compliance requirements

Develop and manage integrated programme plans, timelines, and milestones across inflight experience domains (e.g. cabin interiors, IFE, connectivity, F&B, amenities, service).

Coordinate activities across product, design, technology, and operations teams and monitor dependencies and adjust schedules to mitigate risks and delays.

Track progress against strategic roadmaps and delivery targets and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility to leadership and stakeholders.

Analyse programme performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Identify, assess, and monitor risks across programmes and facilitate risk mitigation planning and issue resolution ensuring escalation of critical risks to leadership with recommended actions.

Support resource planning and allocation across concurrent initiatives by monitoring capacity to ensure efficient delivery and coordinate with HR and functional leads for staffing needs.

Maintain comprehensive records of programme decisions, actions, and outcomes and develop reporting templates to support transparency and accountability ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity across programme phases.

Act as a point of contact for programme-related communications and updates and prepare summary reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and manage stakeholder expectations

Align programme execution with strategic goals of the Product Development Division, supporting feasibility assessments for new concepts and technologies and enable delivery of innovation initiatives through structured programme support.

Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications About you

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 7+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally within strategy, innovation, or technology environments.

Proficiency in programme planning, milestone tracking, and resource coordination.

Experience managing cross-functional delivery across design, product, technology, and operations.

Familiarity with stage-gate, agile, or hybrid delivery models.

Skilled in developing dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries.

Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Excel, or Smartsheet for tracking programme health.

Ability to interpret programme data and communicate performance trends to leadership.

About the Role

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and experience strategists to translate complex datasets into meaningful narratives that shape the future of aviation. As a Senior Data Specialist within the Product Development department at Qatar Airways, you will analyse internal data to uncover insights that inform product strategy, operational improvements, and customer experience enhancements. This role is deeply embedded in the business, supporting decision-making through rigorous data exploration, performance analysis, and storytelling. You will work across multiple data sources to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities that help shape the future of passenger experience, product and service offering, and innovations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyse internal datasets related to passenger behaviour, product usage, operational performance, and service delivery.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities that inform product development decisions.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations that support strategic planning and performance tracking.
  • Monitor KPIs across all aspects of the onboard passenger experience from soft to hard product and digital touchpoints and provide regular performance updates and deep dives to support product optimisation.
  • Work closely with product and portfolio owners, designers, service and operational teams to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by providing analytical input during planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on data-driven decision-making within the Product Development team ensuring complete analysis of internal data to cover insights.
  • Prepare clear, compelling presentations and reports for leadership and cross-functional teams and communicate complex findings in accessible language tailored to non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to strategic narratives that guide future product and service enhancements, to help shape the future of passenger experience, product and service offering and innovations.
  • Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications / About You
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or a related field with minimum 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within aviation, travel, or customer experience domains.
  • Strong skills in data wrangling, cleansing, and transformation using tools like Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and extract actionable insights aligned with product and business goals.
  • Solid understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics.
  • Experience building predictive models, trend analyses, and correlation studies to support product decisions.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
  • Expertise in creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Ability to present data in a clear, compelling format tailored to different stakeholders (e.g., product managers, executives).
  • Experience defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for product usage, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to build automated reporting systems and performance scorecards.
