Job Description: Data Governance & Data Quality Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking a Data Governance & Data Quality Analyst to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of data governance frameworks, master data management, and data quality initiatives. The role ensures data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with business objectives through effective governance and quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance & Cataloguing Lead: the implementation and maintenance of enterprise data catalog solutions (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Purview).
- Document and manage metadata, data lineage, and data dictionaries across systems and domains.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and cross-functional teams to define governance processes, policies, and procedures.
- Data Quality Management Design: design and implement data quality standards, KPIs, and rules for critical data elements.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and monitoring to ensure high-quality data.
- Develop dashboards and reporting (e.g., in Power BI) to track data quality issues and remediation progress.
- Conduct regular data audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of master data across multiple geographies and business units.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance automation tools and workflows for MDM processes.
- Compliance, Privacy & Security Support: support data privacy and security initiatives, including classification, access management, and compliance with regulations (GDPR, local data protection laws).
- Conduct audits and assessments to validate compliance with governance and security frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Training: provide guidance and training to business users on data governance and quality best practices.
- Work closely with business units to understand requirements and translate them into governance/quality initiatives.
- Align governance practices with business objectives to drive data-driven decision-making.
Technical Skills
- Data Governance Tools: Collibra, Informatica, Oracle Data Catalog, Microsoft Purview
- Data Quality Tools: KNIME (rule creation, cleansing, validations), SQL profiling techniques
