Purpose Of The Position
As
Vessel Operations Engineer
, you will respond/report to the
Project Operations Manager
and be part of
various projects
within the
Operations Department.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
This role provides operational and technical support during tenders and project execution phases, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Engineering Support: Review documentation, suggest improvements, and support the engineering team in planning and execution phases.
- Project Operations: Assist both offshore and onshore teams with installation, diving, pre-commissioning, trenching, and hook-up operations.
- Planning & Coordination: Coordinate equipment, material logistics, and cross-functional teams to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure QA/QC & HSE standards are met; actively participate in risk assessments and safety briefings.
- Execution Oversight: Supervise key activities during vessel mobilization/demobilization, loadouts, and critical offshore operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback and lessons learned to enhance procedures, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Commercial Support: Offer technical input to the commercial team for proposals and contractual matters.
Ensuring smooth execution during mobilization, testing, and installation phases
Leading and managing a team composed of:
Junior engineers (method/operations)
- Draftsmen
- Ensuring timely preparation of all installation documents
What are we looking for?
Education
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Other engineering disciplines may also be considered
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in Offshore Oil and Gas / EPC
Languages
- Proficient in English
Technical Skills / Knowledge
- Strong experience in offshore oil and gas installations including jackets, top sides, bridges, and heavy lifting operations.
IT Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project
