Location: Misrata, Libya
Salary : $1,800-$2,200 (6, QAR) - 8, QAR % Tax will be deducted )

Job Summary
The Nurse with Medical Imaging Experience (CN2) delivers specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. The role includes preparing patients, assisting radiologists during imaging-guided interventions, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to international standards of imaging and nursing practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Imaging Support
- Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures including MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, and X-rays.
- Assist radiologists and interventional radiology teams during image-guided procedures.
- Administer IV medications and contrast agents while closely monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control practices during invasive procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs, comfort, and clinical stability throughout imaging sessions.
Patient Care & Safety
- Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments and obtain informed consent from patients.
- Provide clear patient education regarding procedures, preparation, and aftercare instructions.
- Recognize and respond rapidly to complications such as contrast media reactions or procedure-related emergencies.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of nursing interventions, imaging procedures, and patient outcomes in medical records.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, imaging technologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Participate in imaging case discussions, quality assurance initiatives, and ongoing professional training.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic and interventional radiology nursing care.
- Proficiency in IV therapy, administration of contrast agents, and emergency response protocols.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety, radiation protection, and imaging protocols.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-stakes clinical situations.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (SAP or equivalent preferred).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of total nursing experience.
- At least 5 years of specialized experience in Medical Imaging or Interventional Radiology.
- Prior experience in GCC or international tertiary healthcare facilities (preferred).
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).

Responsibilities

Education
- The successful candidate must have the following degrees:
- A PhD or Doctorate in Diagnostic Medical Imaging Physics or Diagnostic Medical Radiation Physics or Diagnostic Radiological Physics (Full Time, On Campus Learning) from a reputable, accredited university, recognized by the UDST.
- An MSc in Diagnostic Medical Imaging Physics or Diagnostic Medical Radiation Physics or Diagnostic Radiological Physics (Full Time, On Campus Learning) with a strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent) from a reputable, accredited university, recognized by the UDST.
- A BSc in Medical Imaging or Medical Physics or Radiation Physics or Physics (Full Time, On Campus Learning) with a strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent) from a reputable, accredited university, recognized by the UDST.
- Academic and/or practical experience in Nuclear Medicine imaging is preferred.
- Certification or eligibility for certification by a recognized professional body is preferred.
Experience
- Demonstrated record of academic experience with a minimum of three (5) years full-time equivalent post-doctoral experience in teaching Diagnostic Medical Physics at Universities.
- Demonstrated record of practice experience in the field diagnostic medical imaging physics.
- Demonstrated competence with curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated use of diverse and current teaching approaches in the classroom and for practice experiences including the laboratory, simulation, and practicums.
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technology and platforms.
