Overview of the role
The Senior Business Development Associate is responsible for helping to increase revenue by generating leads and sales for corporate events new business by promoting and offering our market leading products and services to corporate events teams and event agencies. Through relationship building and excellent communication skills particularly on the telephone, you will be the first point of contact to identify tender opportunities, identify events to target, gather important information on potential clients and competitor activity and most importantly and predominantly immediate sales opportunities for the sales team to approach
The ideal candidate:
Arabic speaker with strong communication skills 5+ years of experience in account management and business development In-depth knowledge of the Qatar market Well-connected with strong local market relationships Proven experience in a similar role, including sales and/or telemarketing Highly organized and capable of working independently and taking initiative Skilled in managing callbacks, email follow-ups, and scheduling across multiple stakeholders Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Passionate about events, with a strong sense of ownership and pride in delivery Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
