We are looking for a skilled Butcher to provide high-quality meats and services to our customers

**Responsibilities**:

- Cutting, grinding and preparing meats for sale.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive.
- Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
- Keeping records, budgets, and inventory.
- Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.

**Requirements**:

- Education or food preparation or meat cutting experience.
- Ability to use hand tools, stand or walk for extending periods, lift heavy items, and work in cold environments.
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
- Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills.
- Asian Nationalities preferred.

**Job Type**: Temporary

**Salary**: QAR2,000.00 per month

Job Description

_**Job Purpose**:_

To facilitate the cleaning and cutting of meat material for restaurant and catering use.
- **Duties & Responsibilities**:_
- Maintain personal hygiene at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the butchery area all the time.
- Perform all work orders in accordance with the Baladiya mandates. Ensures hygiene and sanitation standards are maintained.
- Coach team members, who need coaching related to skills
- Check item quality and validity when receiving goods from the central store or internal transfers. Ensures meat, poultry, and fish are stored in accordance with established standards.
- Ensures that portion control policy instructions are followed.
- Abide with the instruction of the chef in charge to determine the appropriate production load.
- Ensures that all equipment is correctly handled and maintained

Other tasks that may be assigned
- **Skills**:_
- Ability to work both in fast phase situations while maintaining high quality
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Physical able to handle large meat sizes
- Be able to react quickly to kitchen emergencies, prevent accidents or deal with through to at least basic first aid.
- Flexible in working hours
- Muslim Preffered

**Salary**: QAR2,000.00 - QAR2,200.00 per month

Responsible for the thawing, butchering, and preparation of all the meat and poultry to be used in the daily menus.

Ensures the cleaning of the Butcher Shop and thawing rooms as per the Executive Chef’s schedule, exercising proper methods to minimize equipment damage.

Ensures that the Butcher Shop and thawing rooms are ready for any announced or unannounced USPH inspections done either by the ship’s management or USPH inspectors.

Duties include storing the received meats and poultry in the freezers on loading days.

Responsible for the requisition and transportation of the necessary items from the freezers to the thawing rooms as per the Executive Chef’s thawing schedule.

Ensures that product yields and portions are according to the Butcher Manual provided by the corporate office and that all the resulting trimmings are properly used or disposed of.

Completes all the Daily Butcher Recaps as required by the Executive Chef. Assists the Provision Master with inventory taking of all meat and poultry storage rooms as required by the Food & Beverage Manager.

Ensures that Butcher Shop personnel come to work on time, and are in proper, well-maintained uniforms, with special attention to those working in public areas. Personal appearance and hygiene must be according to company policy.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferably with butchery training from recognized centers.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in large Butchery operations in hospitality, food and beverage, commissary or cruise line industry.
  • Previous experience with different meat and cuts including fish and poultry
  • Previous experience in processing seafood.
  • Complete knowledge of USPH/HACCP requirements, food safety, and waste management.
  • Good English language skills, both verbal and written.
