  • Manage and guide the contractor during engineering, review, comment and approve contractor deliverables in (Company/Project).

  • Attend engineering workshops such as Constructability review, SIMOPS, Schedule Risk Analysis, 3D Model Reviews, HAZOP, Lifting Plan reviews and provide inputs to ensure that these workshops are complying to (Company/Project) requirements.

  • Ensure Contractor execute the fabrication of brownfield structures in onshore and modification of existing Wellhead jackets in offshore in accordance with (Company/Project) requirements.

  • Monitor, control and report Contractor’s performance, man-power deployment, plant and equipment’s movements, construction slippages etc.

  • Act as the Risk Management representative to identify Risk events related to brownfield modification in live assets and wellhead platforms, its effects & consequences, propose mitigation measures and take ownership to ensure mitigation measures have been implemented at site.

  • Liaise with senior discipline engineers, project engineers and other stake holders through all phases of the project for all construction related matters including inputs during the detailed engineering and procurement stages.

  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports for assigned projects and verify contractor’s progress statements for accuracy.

  • Coordinate the MCC walk through, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractor, vendors, and end users.

  • Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
Industry Specific Experience
  • Vast experience in construction engineering, with significant exposure to both onshore and offshore projects
  • Proven experience working in an Engineering design office environment supporting all engineering phases
  • Strong understanding of constructability principles and ability to translate design into executable field strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present detailed constructability reviews and workshops to Tier 1 clients
  • Familiarity with developing Level 4 CWPs and utilisation of construction planning tools
  • Requires a practical understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning processes, including familiarity with procedural requirements, system readiness activities, and associated documentation to support seamless project handover
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams and contractors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project delivery environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

SR. CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR - QATAR

We are working with our client based in Qatar to source a Senior Construction Supervisor. This is a residential contract based in Qatar.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with extensive construction-related experience.

Experience

Minimum of 12 years’ experience in offshore construction and installation activities in the oil & gas industry.

Experience in steel structure installation and commissioning of offshore projects.

Good knowledge of piping and mechanical installation and commissioning.

Understanding of lifting activities, including assessment of lifting plans and operations.

Experience implementing construction industry best practices, systems, and standards.

Knowledge of construction techniques for various types of work, especially in greenfield, brownfield, and wellhead jacket projects.

Strong construction management skills, effective communication, and conflict resolution abilities.

Exposure to related disciplines’ work.

Computer literacy and good communication and writing skills.

Excellent knowledge of industry standards, quality control, safety, and environmental awareness.

Ability to interpret and review method statements, lifting plans, inspection and test plans, schedules, and drawings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor and report on contractor performance, manpower, equipment, and project progress.

Conduct meetings with contractors and resolve issues affecting progress.

Act as the construction risk management representative, identifying risks and proposing mitigation measures.

Review and verify construction progress reports and contractor statements.

Liaise with senior engineers during all project phases.

Review design drawings, method statements, and material inspections.

Supervise construction activities, material submissions, and documentation.

Ensure construction complies with standards and contract specifications.

Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Maintain records of progress and address anomalies or deviations.

Control work permits and ensure contractor compliance.

Manage mobilization and demobilization of contractors and vendors offshore.

Interface with other departments and contractors to resolve construction issues.

Make project decisions within contractual and procedural frameworks.

Manage construction activities outside of normal hours during project phases.

Ensure efficient site management and progress in line with policies.

Job Title: Construction Supervisor – Piping

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized international institution.

Formal training in

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) .

Experience Requirements

Minimum

10 years of experience

in:

Piping erection (aboveground and underground)

Pressure testing

Mechanical completion

Proven leadership in

Experience as a

supervisor with EPIC Contractors

is essential; experience with

Client or PMC

is secondary.

Familiarity with industrial sites in

Qatar

or other

GCC countries

is required.

Advantageous experience includes:

Stage inspections and testing per approved ITPs

Strong technical, prioritization, and team management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Proficiency in:

MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PDF)

Discipline-relevant engineering software

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Safety & Compliance

Act as a

safety leader , ensuring contractor compliance with

QatarEnergy Life Saving Rules

and all applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Participate in

HSE walkthroughs , audits, and process safety reviews.

Enforce safety standards and ensure proper work permit procedures are followed.

Construction Supervision

Report to the

Discipline Construction Lead/Senior Construction Supervisor

on site progress, issues, and improvement recommendations.

Review and approve construction documentation including:

Method Statements

Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)

Material Approval Requests (MARs)

Supervise EPIC contractor activities for:

Installation of process and utility piping systems

Line checks, punch list clearance, hydrotesting, reinstatement

Mechanical completion inspections and pre-commissioning activities

Ensure installation quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with design specifications.

Inspection & Quality Assurance

Attend and sign off

Requests for Inspection (RFIs)

as per approved ITPs.

Coordinate material receiving inspections and verify test reports.

Liaise with QA/QC Inspectors on quality-related matters.

Ensure proper installation of accessories and inline items.

Technical Oversight

Interpret and verify engineering drawings including:

P&IDs

General Arrangements (GA)

Isometrics

Piping standards and support drawings

Equipment layouts

Maintain daily progress records and report anomalies or deviations.

Support development of

as-built documentation .

Operational Support

Participate in

Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)

and support operations during pre-startup activities.

Coordinate contractor mobilization and daily work checks.

Provide technical integrity reviews and ensure readiness for commissioning.
