Position : Quality Control Materials Inspector

Reports To: Senior Quality Inspector

Primary Functions:

• Determine conformity of material received to customer specification and relevant code/standard through independent inspection and tests in accordance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP). Identify nonconformity for

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assure material received in accordance with the PO, ITP, and Technical Specification, Codes / Material standards to determine conformity. All inspection results need to be documented on warehouse checklist and if nonconformity exists, suitable documentation (OS&D, NCR) shall be issued to establish corrective and preventive action.
• Perform receiving inspections such as visual, dimensional, verification of markings, review of Material Test Certificates / Inspection Release Notes in accordance with project specifications, codes / material standard and scope of work as noted in the PO and ITPs.
• Provide interpretation of applicable code/material standards and customer requirements. Any deviation, clarification and waivers deemed necessary shall be notified to the Senior Quality Inspector - Materials for generating change management process such as Site Query, Technical Query, Technical deviation, waivers etc.,
• Identify any additional testing requirement and arrange/coordinate with approved testing laboratories for testing with PMT approval. Participate in witnessing the lab testing as and when required.
• Coordinate / Interface with Warehouse, Purchasing, PMT, Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, and subcontractor assuring conformity to project specifications.
• Liaise with customer representatives ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted in the PO/ITP.
• Liaise with PMT/Buyers and Expeditors for quick resolution of OS&D. Attend OS&D meetings for the assigned project.
• Attend Joint Equipment Inspection as per project requirements.
• Visit vendor premises and conduct vendor inspections as and when required, as per PO/ITP.
• Exercise proactive approach in prevention of a technical problem by interaction with Purchasing, Engineers, and Management personnel.
• Conduct routine internal audits to assess the effectiveness of quality system outlined in the PQP/ITP.
• Participate in Toolbox Talks conducted in Warehouse to highlight the quality requirements and non- conformances noted during inspection.
• Conduct Quality Walkthroughs to ensure proper material storage and preservation.
• Notify all quality related concerns to the Senior Quality Inspector - Materials on regular basis.
• Liaise with Buyers to ensure Mill authenticity of materials received from Stockiest.
• Carry out advance MTC review (Supplier Materials Details) of stockiest materials to avoid OS&Ds after material receiving.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgical/ Electrical & Instrumentation

Experience:

• 5+ years Quality control or related experience in Weld, Material, E&I Inspection.

About the role

To support the Line Manager in developing new DQ (Discover Qatar) products, focusing on DQ-owned (created) products. Responsible for product design, pricing, commercialization, staff training, SOPs (with operations team), and enhancements.

Key Accountabilities include:

1. Support the Line Manager with innovative ideas to develop excursion and tour packages in and around Qatar.
2. Create products and services aligned with marketing strategy, target customer groups, and key markets of Qatar Airways network.
3. Review current products, analyze needs, and recommend improvements based on specifications and market trends.
4. Manage project plans for developing new tours and excursions, including site inspections and feedback monitoring.
5. Develop DQ product portfolio addressing customer and channel needs, manage budgets, and prepare financial reports.
6. Determine product pricing using market research and cost analysis.
7. Evaluate product development feedback, test products/services, and ensure continuous improvement.
8. Research competitors' products and oversee development based on industry best practices.
9. Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Qualifications

About you

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in product development, negotiation, and contracting at a managerial level in large wholesale tour operations.
• Excellent negotiation and contracting skills.
• Deep understanding of international tour operations.
• Regional/product knowledge of Qatar and GCC.
• Understanding of margins and profits in wholesale tour operations.
• High computer literacy.
• Knowledge of the international Tour Operator model, including online distribution.
• Excellent English communication skills.

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL | Full time

1. To conduct pipelines, piping, relief valves, plant and equipment inspection.
2. To produce rough site isometric sketches of pipelines highlighting inspection points, problematic locations, extent of scaffold access and insulation removal requirements.
3. To carry out visual surveys on Static Equipment, Pipelines, Tanks, piping systems to determine the condition of individual Static Equipment, Tanks pipelines and piping. The visual survey shall determine the exposed pipe/fitting/support condition and determine insulation removal, scaffolding and Non-destructive testing (NDT) requirement to assist in condition assessment.
4. To produce an individual line condition report.
5. To highlight areas of concern to QatarEnergy Inspector.
6. To carry out detailed visual inspection of plant and equipment using suitable visual aids as may be required.
7. To provide concise, accurate technical reports on equipment inspected.
8. To report to assigned QatarEnergy inspector.
9. To liaise with NDT Technicians for report review and interpreting results.
10. To update all reports in APMS system and submit for approval.
11. Candidate shall have the ability to pass QatarEnergy Permit to Work system and Consolidated Permit to Work system.

Qualifications

1. Minimum diploma or higher educational qualification in engineering disciplines (mechanical, metallurgy, civil, electrical, instrumentation, or equivalent).
2. Have hands-on relevant experiences in quality control, integrity, in-service inspection and testing associated with Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry, for at least 10 years for diploma and 08 years for bachelor.
3. A valid CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, International Welding Engineers (IWE) or equivalent certification. Two-year post-certification experience is desirable and preferred.
4. Experiences and knowledge in QA/QC, Inspection and Testing activities in Fabrication, Manufacturing and Construction in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industries is essential.
5. Shall have valid certificates of API 510, API 570, API 653 as relevant with the requirement. Two-year post-certification experience is desirable and preferred.
6. NDT level II in RT, UT, MT, PT qualified and familiar with advance NDT techniques. Two-year post-certification experience is desirable and preferred.
