Role DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing QFBA’s quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure continuous compliance with standards and requirements of Northumbria University with special emphasis on AACSB accreditation standards, as well as key national bodies such as National Committee for Qualifications and Academic Accreditation (NCQAA) and Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE).
This role is critical in supporting QFBA’s efforts towards achieving and maintaining accreditation by focusing on key areas such as governance, resources, planning, effectiveness, mission achievement, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a deep understanding of the local and international accreditation standards and the commitment to driving quality and effectiveness across all aspects of the QFBA's operations to achieve its mission and meet stakeholder expectations.
Qualification and Person SpecificationA master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Higher Education Administration) is
preferred. A bachelor's degree with significant experience in quality assurance will also be considered.
Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in a higher education or training institution.
Sound knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements in the education.
The ideal candidate would have the following key qualifications and skills including but not limited to the following:
- Sound knowledge of Quality Assurance and institutional effectiveness frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements in education sector
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, software, and relevant technology platforms
- Familiarity with British and Qatar's higher education landscape and accreditation bodies would be an advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in higher education or a related field is a plus
