Primary Functions:
Determine product conformity to customer specification through independent inspection and tests in accordance with the Project Quality Plan. Identify nonconformity for rectification and assure final resolution.
Liaise with Production Supervisor, Senior Principal Certification Tech, Discipline Engineer, Project Engineer, Operations Engineer, Field Engineer, Certifying Authority, Discipline Technicians, Sr. Inspector, Customer.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Appraise product quality in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plan and determine conformity and non-conformity. All inspection results need to be documented and if non conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action.
Co-ordinate with Operations, Production Supervisor, Client, Job Sharing personnel and subcontractor assuring conformity to project requirements.
Perform field inspections of fit up & welding in accordance with project requirements and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.
Proactive approach in prevention of a nonconformance by interaction with respective departments
Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of Quality System outlined in Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.
Conduct surveillance audit during execution of the project as per applicable procedures and plans.
Perform surveillance checks on welding consumable storage and handling
Perform surveillance checks on material storage and preservation.
Ensure progressive completion of inspection reports and certification packages
Coordinate closely with client inspector closely for the inspection activities as per ITP requirements
Ensure correct documentation as per the drawings shall be updated in the database system & review appropriately prior to sign/submission
Reports generated manually shall be maintained properly
QRR cards shall be reviewed/monitored for its effectiveness in respective areas for ongoing activities.
Yard initiative for the reporting of good practices, observations, concerns, etc. shall be performed as per the agreed KPIs.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
AWS or CSWIP Qualification.
Internal /External Auditor Qualification
Experience:
5+ years Quality control or related experience in Welding Inspection.

Perform receiving inspections such as visual, dimensional, verification of markings, review of Material Test Certificates / Inspection Release Notes in accordance with project specifications, codes / material standard and scope of work as noted in the PO and ITPs. Provide interpretation of applicable code/material standards and customer requirements. Any deviation, clarification and waivers deemed necessary shall be notified to the Senior Quality Inspector - Materials for generating change management process such as Site Query, Technical Query, Technical deviation, waivers etc., Identify any additional testing requirement and arrange/coordinate with approved testing laboratories for testing with PMT approval. Participate in witnessing the lab testing as and when required. Coordinate / Interface with Warehouse, Purchasing, PMT, Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, and subcontractor assuring conformity to project specifications. Liaise with customer representatives ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted in the PO/ITP. Liaise with PMT/Buyers and Expeditors for quick resolution of OS&D. Attend OS&D meetings for the assigned project. Attend Joint Equipment Inspection as per project requirements. Visit vendor premises and conduct vendor inspections as and when required, as per PO/ITP. Exercise proactive approach in prevention of a technical problem by interaction with Purchasing, Engineers, and Management personnel. Conduct routine internal audits to assess the effectiveness of quality system outlined in the PQP/ITP. Participate in Toolbox Talks conducted in Warehouse to highlight the quality requirements and non- conformances noted during inspection. Conduct Quality Walkthroughs to ensure proper material storage and preservation. Notify all quality related concerns to the Senior Quality Inspector - Materials on regular basis. Liaise with Buyers to ensure Mill authenticity of materials received from Stockiest. Carry out advance MTC review (Supplier Materials Details) of stockiest materials to avoid OS&Ds after material receiving. Monitor site mechanical activities to ensure alignment with inspection plans, drawings, and method statements.
Maintain inspection logs, RFIs, and MIRs; ensure timely documentation of QA/QC records.

As the Storeroom Lead, you shall determine quantities required and timely stock replenishment and rotation by use of experienced judgment, historical data, occupancy, and utilization. The Storeroom Lead shall establish and maintain minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and equipment to ensure adequate inventory of items. Ensure that all grounds in, around, and adjacent to the Rations storage areas are clean and free of debris, ice buildup in containers, CONEX’s, or other frozen holding storage areas to prevent potential safety mishaps. The Storeroom Lead shall keep all CONEX boxes clean and organized regardless of what is being housed inside. Shall break down and discard all boxes and trash after deliveries. Be familiar with and conduct all food handling, storage, receiving and transferring of subsistence in strict accordance with the Tri-Service Food Code. The Storeroom Lead shall ensure compliance with the base-recycling program. The Storeroom Lead will ensure First-In-First Out (FIFO) procedures are fully implemented for all food stocks. The Storeroom Lead will get qualified and assign USN storeroom personnel to OCN and Prime Vendor escort support duties where required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Maintains inventory to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
- Informs Site Manager / DFAC Managers of any discrepancies, potential shortages, etc. immediately.
- Conduct all food handling, storage, receiving and transferring of subsistence in strict accordance with the Tri-Service Food Code.
- Storing, stacking, palletizing, banding, strapping, labeling, and wrapping materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Reporting deterioration and damaged materials.
- Preparing materials for shipment.
- Cleaning work areas and Warehouse grounds.
- Completes forklift and ladder inspections.
- Load and unload trucks, stage materials, and assist with convoy materials.
- Ensures that all grounds in, around, and adjacent to the Rations storage areas are clean and free of debris, ice buildup in containers, CONEX’s, or other frozen holding storage areas to prevent potential safety mishaps.
- Keeps all CONEX boxes clean and organized regardless of what is being housed inside.
- Ensures the breakdown and removal of all boxes and trash after deliveries.
- Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success.
- Meet and escort OCN’s from Front Gate to work assignment area at the beginning of shift.
- Escort OCN’s from work assignment area to Front Gate at the end of shift.
- Assist with other escort duties as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, food service, hospitality, nutrition or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience executing FIFO.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with overseas facilities / life support operations.
- Experience in OCONUS environments is particularly desirable.
- Professional experience in Middle East highly desirable (or any other Islamic nation).
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS :
- Driver’s license for forklift operations up to 10K capacity.
- Trained and certified IAW base guidance as an Escort.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred).
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
- Familiar with Tri-Service Food Code.
- Knowledge of using strict FIFO policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Must be able to use tools for strapping and banding, moving, and transporting pallets; physically operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift stations.
- The ability to lift up to 65-pound materials.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated staff management, project management, and life support mission / contract fulfillment.
