The candidate should bring a minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure projects with a focus on environmental management and sustainability practices in Qatar.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the contractor’s implementation of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and ensure compliance with all environmental permits and conditions. Support the integration of sustainability best practices, including material reuse, energy-efficient operations, and low-impact construction methods. Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and site assessments to ensure mitigation measures are in place (e.g., dust suppression, noise control, waste segregation). Prepare and submit regular environmental and sustainability compliance reports as per Ashghal’s KPIs and reporting framework. Review and approve contractor submissions related to environmental protection, spill prevention, erosion control, and landscape management. Liaise with MME, Ashghal's Environmental Department, and other local authorities for necessary approvals, inspections, and updates. Promote awareness among site staff and subcontractors regarding environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and resource optimization. Investigate environmental incidents, non-conformities, and complaints; develop and track corrective actions. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Civil/mechanical Engineering (with specialization). Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Climate and Sustainability Leader / Director to join our team in the IMEA region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, with a strong background in regional consulting within the Middle East. This role will involve leading and delivering Climate & Sustainability consulting teams, ensuring high-quality project deliverables, and supporting our vision through operational excellence and high client retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver Climate & Sustainability consulting teams in analysis, scoping, planning, and executing projects.
Develop and tailor Climate & Sustainability offerings to meet client needs.
Drive business development efforts, including drafting RFP responses and visiting clients and prospects to promote risk consulting services.
Achieve dedicated Sales Target Revenue for the Climate & Sustainability Practice, focusing on GCC countries.
Raise revenue and project profitability by streamlining project delivery processes.
Enable client success by prioritizing client interests and assisting them in overcoming challenges and realizing new opportunities.
Position Marsh Advisory as a “Strategic Risk Partner” with key strategic clients across MENA.
Conduct market, trend, and competition analysis to establish the Climate & Sustainability Practice Strategy.
