Our client is working on a major new build hospital project in Qatar. The hospital will have in excess of 1000 beds and will cover clinics, administration facilities, and a multi-storey car park.
With a value of $1bn, this is one of the most ambitious hospital projects in the region and will bring first-class healthcare facilities to Qatar.
As this project covers a degree of design development, we are looking for professionals with experience in major hospital construction and previous overseas experience (ideally in the MENA region). Arabic language skills would be beneficial but are not a necessity.
On offer is a strong salary package of between Qrs45,500 and Qrs65,500 per month, which is a tax-free package of over £110,000+.

**Primary purpose of job**
Responsible for supervision of construction works executed by contractors to ensure
Department's assigned projects are constructed in accordance with the approved
Scope of Work, engineering design, QHSE standards & specifications. Review and
provide comments on construction method statements, Responsible offshore for work
execution from “AFC” through to “Mechanical Completion”
Carry out constructability reviews with engineering disciplines and offshore supervision
prior to work packs being issued for construction.
5. Liaise across departments i.e. Ops & maintenance, Asset Integrity to ensure smooth
interface with construction activities
6. Lead a team of appointed Contractors, provide discipline related direction, guidance
and advice.
Identify any detrimental trends and advise Head of Construction and Contractor of
concerns.
Monitor all construction and execution sequences to ensure compliance with designs,
schedule and QP/Contractor safety policies.
Review and agree with QP Head of Construction Contractors proposed work schedules,
resources required
Foster and manage good relationships with Contractors onsite/offshore supervision
personnel, correct Non-conformances as appropriate.
Advise of any proposed or actual deviation to design drawings and prepare relevant
paperwork for engineering/construction approval using EQ / TQ Procedure.
Participate in hand-over and acceptance, review commissioning procedures and assist
in the commissioning of facilities.
**Experience & Skills**
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in relevant construction and installation
activities for offshore projects in oil & gas industry.
3. Experience and exposure to working within live oil and gas process plants (Brownfield).
4. Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices,
systems, processes and standards.
