What’s the job?As a Guest Relations Manager you are responsible to provide professional and customer focused service to our guests, ensuring their stay will become a memorable experience. - Maintain effective communication with all related departments to ensure a smooth service delivery
- Extend personal service and attention to all guests, with particular emphasis to Club Lounge and VIP guests
- Develop the reputation, customer loyalty and market standing of the hotel by providing a high level of customer care, assistance and recognition
- Ensure that the correct arrival, check-in procedures and escorting of all guests to rooms are applied
- Ensure that on the day subsequent to arrival and day prior to departure, all guests identified as VIP’s, are contacted by Guest Relation Manager and or a member of the Guest Relations Team
- Maintain a systematic recognition program policy in line with VIP categories to ensure that the relevant room treatments etc. are extended in line with status
- Check all VIP rooms with treatments prior to arrival times to ensure that the correct treatments and housekeeping standards are as per InterContinental Standards.
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for :
- Similar experience in a luxury hotel
- Experience in effective learning and development methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English
- Additional language is an added advantage
- Strong organizational skills
- Result-oriented and self-motivated along with a positive attitude

About The JobBased at Mandarin Oriental, Doha within the Front Office Department in Doha, The Guest Relations Agent will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous Guest Relations service in accordance with Legendary Quality Experiences. Responsibilities- Help the Guest Relations Supervisor to inspect all VIPs rooms prior to arrival and ensure all requests are met
- Help the Guest Relations Management Team to meet and greet guests
- Prepare the Daily Communication Form
- Handle amenity requests and other guest relations programmes
- Run and Participate in the VIPs meeting
- Assists the Front Office during need periods
- Handles guests’ complaints
- Works closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Room Services, Concierge and all F&B departments
- Minimum 2 year of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment
- A minimum of 1 years of Front Office experience
- Previous experience working in the Middle East Region is an advantage
- Strong commands of Microsoft Office products
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage
