Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Lead of Cost Control to provide expert guidance and management of cost allocation, planning, and expenditure within a large-scale oil and gas compression project. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient cost control processes and provide expert advice on cost accounting and allocation.

About The Role

As a Training Officer, you will be working closely with the Training Manager to develop and execute service excellence for our team, creating content by analysing the customer journey across the lounges, creating standards, best practises for each touch point and develop training plans and delivers training to ensure all staff are prepared to deliver a high level of service. You will review all training programs for lounge staff across the Qatar Airways network including outstation lounges.   • Develop and keep updated classroom training programs for required subjects.
  • Review and revise training content of all training with any changes in procedures

  • Coach, develop and provide feedback to trainees on performance to form part of the appraisal management system. Provide constructive feedback to the managers on counselling for trainees where required on matters related to their ability to meet standards and instructional objectives.

  • Determine the instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, meetings and workshops.

  • Liaise with all relevant line departments within the lounges to ensure that appropriate training needs/requirements are highlighted / established and related documentation, policies and procedures are implemented as required.
  • Deliver classroom training programs and coaching for all grades of staff as required by the lounge management.
  • Maintains rates of competency of students of at least 90% of total number of students directly trained (demonstrates effectiveness of training).
  • At least 80% of student feedback results for relevant programs delivered fall within the 2 upper categories of student satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback, coaching and write course progress reports on trainees' performance.
  • Written progress reports must be completed at the end of each course undertaken.
  • Assess, evaluate and certify trainees on courses conducted. This also includes coaching and reassessing where required for trainees who have failed to meet the required standard:
  • Completion of assessments within the following working week.
  • Support training units for conducting special projects and research initiatives as required. This should be in roles related to development of staff and business requirements.
  • Train and develop other employees in junior training roles, to ensure succession planning is in place.
  • Maintain training records, course completions, shortfalls, training evaluations, assessments, attendance records as well as scheduling of participants to meet the course completion timelines.

  • Review of open Tech Log defects correctly assigned to Planning in the (Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning System) AMPPS system / TRAX (IT System Software) and take necessary action to ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordination for resolution of defects loaded during Line & Base Maintenance to ensure required parts and tooling are positioned in Hangar / respective Aircraft Location.
  • Review completed packages and forward to Fleet Planning
  • Review packages in case of last-minute changes to Line & Base input forecasts / schedules to align work scope with available capacity and aircraft ground time.
  • When required, participate as part of Qatar Airways Representative team during outsourced maintenance.

About you

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of Aviation regulations (Part 145, Part M).
  • General knowledge of Aircraft/Engines systems
  • Good computer skill, proficient with MS Office
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Command of English language.
