Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of clinical, simulations and practicum courses in nursing, including medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, and high intensity neonatal/pediatric care. S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment either in laboratory or clinical setting.


The successful candidate will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. Faculty members will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. Education



  • A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with at least eight (8) years of full-time recent clinical experience will also be considered.

  • All candidates must be registered nurses in good standing with the regulatory body in their home or country of employment and must be eligible for licensing with Qatar’s Department of Healthcare Professions.


Experience



  • Master’s-prepared candidates: minimum five (5) years recent full-time clinical practice.

  • Bachelor’s prepared candidates: minimum eight (8) years recent full-time clinical practice (within the past six months).

  • Preference for candidates with post-secondary teaching experience and/or mentorship/preceptorship of nursing students.
