Technical

  • Minimum 6 years of related experience in Oil and Gas upstream industry.

Activities

  • Prepares all necessary SAP entries and its support documentation for the closure including invoices, scheduled and manual accruals and cost allocations to ensure accurate financial statements.

  • Support the Senior Business Analyst to prepare monthly cost report providing a strong variance analysis compared to our Closure forecast and budget.
  • Support the Senior Business Analyst to ensure costs control measures are maintained to monitor, review, and analyze projects from inception till completion.
  • Have a strong understanding of all activities and scope under departments managed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Work Program and Budget pack for Annual Budgets (CAPEX/OPEX/NON-ROUTINE) and ensure it is accurately mapped in SAP
  • Prepare Budget Revisions/Supplementary Budget and ensure appropriate justification and supporting documentation is valid and enough
  • Prepare AFEs with accuracy and ensure the requested AFE is following Policy and Procedures
  • Ensure compliance with and implementation of approved Budget Control Procedures and Work Instructions

  • Justify monthly and quarterly variance and ensure the reasons are valid and obtain mitigation measures from cost, planning & project team
  • Review the project status, CWIP and Completion Certificates to ensure the capitalization process is in line with Policy and Procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement of budget control activities
  • Capacity to prepare ad-hoc reports for specific budget and cost analyses when required
  • Provide on-the-job coaching & development of staff


Requirements
  • A university/college degree in financial accounting or CPA, ACCA CGMA or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in project cost budget control
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is preferable
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Performs routine duties independently and refers to Line Supervisors on non-routine work
  • Working knowledge in SAP (e.g. PS, MM modules) is essential
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications and Database particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

Job Description:

Document Controller

Qatar, Doha

Parsons is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of document control and project documentation, ensuring proper distribution, tracking, and retrieval of project documents throughout all project phases.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing document control processes from project initiation through to close-out, ensuring documents are properly tracked, updated, and archived.

  • Scanning and electronically distributing documents as PDF digital copies to designated recipients, and uploading them to the client Contract Management System.

  • Maintaining a hard copy reference library for all project documentation to ensure quick and easy retrieval of information.

  • Utilizing the latest version of Primavera Contract Management to control and update the status of contract documents.

  • Preparing, registering, and tracking various documents such as correspondence, reports, payment requisitions, variation orders, site instructions, punch lists, and NCRs in Primavera Contract Management.

  • Tracking and updating the status of submittals, safety reports, RFCs, site minutes of meetings, progress photographs, contract issues, and drawings.

  • Producing regular reports on outstanding actions and responses on correspondence through Primavera Contract Management.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Diploma or specialized training in Primavera Contract Management, or similar software.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, with at least 3 years using EDMS (preferably Primavera Contract Management).

  • Extensive experience in document control throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to close-out, using integrated project services functions.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with strong technical writing and communication skills.

  • Proficient computer skills with experience in managing electronic documentation systems.

  • Preferably at least 3 years of experience working in the Gulf region.

  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and handle large volumes of documentation in a structured and organized manner.

  • Experience in producing detailed reports and tracking documents to ensure compliance and meeting deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve document management issues promptly.
