Job Description
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
- Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
- Inspect the levels of supplies and raw material to identify shortages
- Ensure product stock is adequate and can cover direct demand from customers
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs
- Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
- Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
- Monitor expiry of materials received, implementing a FIFO system or other inventory systems as may be necessary
- Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
- Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
- Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom
- Responsible for packing, pricing, labeling, and returning supplies
- Responsible for stock rotation and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
- Create purchase orders and utilize purchasing card to perform low-value procurement activities
- Responsible for shipping cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate.
- Responsible in keeping a record of all items / materials that were taken in and out of the stockroom (materials received from Procurement team and materials taken by the laboratory staff, finished products delivered to the store)
- Ensure that the stockroom is kept clean and organized
- Regular reporting of stock levels to the upper management, Procurement team, and the Head of Production
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as inventory officer or similar position
- Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP, Odoo)
- Excellent in MS Excel
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

As part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Revenue Optimization Team in Doha, you will contribute to network optimization and load factor improvements by processing requests per pre-defined O&D strategies, and by monitoring allotments to ensure capacity is allocated for highly utilized allocations. You will provide analytical insights through reports, communicate strategy deviations to management, and suggest proactive solutions.
Responsibilities- Process ad-hoc allotment requests daily for the assigned region by reviewing rates and capacity to ensure alignment with pre-defined requirements and overall O&D strategy.
- Monitor and communicate allotment performance for the assigned region on a weekly basis.
- Follow up on RFQ deadlines and prepare required data for bids.
- Proactively review capacity changes with the network planning and scheduling teams, and communicate changes to the region.
- Monitor strategy results using internal dashboards and communicate deviations to the relevant teams.
- Support the team in allocations review during seasonal changes.
- Attend scheduled regional meetings and provide inputs where possible.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of job-related experience.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous experience in cargo revenue management preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple, time-sensitive deliverables and competing priorities.
- Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, VBA, pivot tables); knowledge of data analytics/visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
