- Follow the Procedure of works on all corrective/ preventive maintenance and additional minor works.
- Ensure implementation of all health and safety procedures at worksite.
- Inventory control of all tools and spares used.
- Accountable for all spares issued for their proper use and to return any unused spares back to store.
- Cleanliness and safety at the site.
- Accountability of subordinates punctuality and proper timekeeping at site.
- Conduct walkthrough and inspection of all equipment and facilities in the scope of work.
- Raise improvement proposals for the better operation and function of facilities and equipment.
- Supervise all site activities with the end-users and Technical Officers and Engineers as required.
- Perform troubleshooting, monitoring and repairs of systems, plants, equipment and machinery to facilitate smooth effective and efficient operations.
- Responsible for daily checks on the various maintenance activities and systems so that they work at optimum efficiency.
- Supervise all Facilities Maintenance Operational processes which includes but not limited to:
- Preventive/Corrective and Predictive Maintenance
- Walkthrough and Inspections of Equipment.
- Breakdown Maintenance.
- Inventory Control
- Improvement works
- Complete maintenance care obligations and render assistance in equipment repair as necessary to increase equipment and asset availability.
- Observe conditions of equipment through vibration analysis and lubrication to predict critical maintenance activities on equipment.
- Complete the required maintenance to maintain the SLA's of the equipment and assets of HIA & DIA.
- Order the required spares and materials to complete jobs and maintain records.
- Review weekly maintenance schedule, address concerns with the Technical Officer and Engineer as required, review and assign work to maintenance employees.
- Supervise on site the facilities maintenance team and third party sub-contractors ensuring they complete tasks on time and safely to required standards.
- Supervise and coordinate a small team of in house maintenance Technicians and Assistant Technicians for completion of assigned task and leading jobs as lead technicians when required.
- Coordinate work, manpower and liaising with other parties/stakeholders and departments to facilitate smooth and effective on time maintenance. Allocate and control the roster of staff and maintain records.
- Maintain maintenance PM schedule compliance and priority as defined by CMMS.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

As the **Mechanical Supervisor**, you will coordinate and control the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of mechanical equipment in a safe manner, in accordance with client procedures and accepted technical standards. The equipment includes, but not limited to cooling towers, condenser and chilled water pumps, tertiary pumps, ozone generators, air compressors, fire pumps, water treatment system, sanitary fixtures, vacuum pumps, wet and dry sprinkler system, and pipe work related to water and irrigation systems.
**Responsibilities**:
- Participates in, and personally carries out the complex installation repair and maintenance of all the mechanical systems.
- Supervise installation, repair and maintenance of water distribution pipe works, valves and all types of potable water, chilled water, wastewater, and drainage systems.
- Supervise repairs of all flush valves, mixers, sanitary fittings, and fixtures.
- Supervise repairs all health and recreation facilities plumbing and mechanical installations. Cleans, clears all drainage systems and soak-away, gutters and rainwater pipes.
- Plans and carry out the routine and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare/update the logbooks for various operations related activities.
- Read, assess, and review the operations parameters. To study, judge the system/equipment behavior and take appropriate actions as per client procedure.
- Generate daily operation reports, shift reports, plan trip reports, and other operations-related activities.
- Work as permit controller in the activities of managing Permit to Work (PTW) process by effectively and proactively carrying the isolation/de-isolation work site preparation, lockout and tagging activities.
**Qualifications**:
- At least 10 years of varied maintenance and operational experience in the field of Mechanical maintenance. The incumbent must have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- Completion of Diploma/Degree Certification of at least 3 years duration.
**Experience & Skills**:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of English, (both written and understanding technical manuals) is essential.
- Experience in large capacity water cooling systems and experience in supervising projects having piping, irrigation systems and associated works are essential.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Preferred:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Job Description
According to what was foreseen during the design phase, he guarantees the correctness of erection execution by the schedule. He should be able to find criticality that could compromise the normal pace of work, trying to anticipate and resolve those problems that could arise during the commissioning of the equipment and support contractors and final customers for proper and safe installation, especially considering the involvement of heavy lifting operations. To do this, he should review the project documentation and interact with NITCO’s technical office, and, in case of modifications compared with the engineering; he should produce technical offices the “as built” documentation to allow the Technical Offices to merge the engineering with what is done at the site.
Typical equipment to be installed and commissioned are :
Jib Cranes, EOT, Scrapyard, Gantry Cranes, Automatic Cranes for scrap, liquid steel, finished and semi-finished products for steel factories – Cranes capacity 5 – 450 tons
Manual and electric hoists
Harbor Special Cranes
On “turnkey ” projects or projects where NITCO is also directly supplying the erection activities (through a third-party contractor), the mechanical supervisor coordinates directly with the worker crews (interacting only with their supervisors / foreman) for the correct execution of erection works or technical assistance.
Whenever contractual commitments with the customer are limited to the advisory service, the Advisor will only verify the correctness of executed activities, notifying the NITCO site manager of any criticality that could compromise the targets given by the erection schedule foreseen by the contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Unique responsibility for the open package inspection, multidiscipline installation & commissioning, certification, troubleshooting of CRANES during installation, commissioning, regular operation, start-up, shutdown and emergencies, coordinating installation and commissioning team.
supervise open package activity, has to identify missing goodsactory ooling ols, and as well missing documentation; actively report missing material;
Coordinates all field activities, especially pre-assembly, assembly, and rigging.
has to suggest to the final customer the best procedure, in the way to ensure correct machine assembly, avoiding hazards or damages;
has to supervise final customer technician during commissioning activities, cold internal test and hot internal test
Coordinating load tests with 3rd part
has to support preparation for the performance test as per the contract in coordination with the Final customer buyer;
if needed, has to prepare and sign with Final Customer formal documentation for the hand-over of the crane (PAC, FAC, HAND-OVER, PUNCH_LIST, etc.)
is the connection point between SITE and HQ echnical office, capable of managing all documentation in hard and soft copy
weekly has to update HQ with report (progress, schedule, critical points, no conformity, missing material and plan, photos)

The individual should be skilled enough to fulfill the responsibilities dictated in this job description.
In smaller sites, the candidate will be the unique person on site and will report directly to HQ. For large projects, he will report to the Site Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Broad experience in Heavy Industries business
3-10 years on-site in Heavy Industries, especially in Overhead Cranes (EOT)
SKILLS
Special training or abilities that are necessary to qualify for this position :
technical knowledge of the equipment mentioned in “typical equipment”;
Deep technical knowledge of OVERHEAD CRANES technology and lifting standards;
mechanical alignment skills; basic electrical skills
Heavy lifting plan skills
good knowledge of English (speaking and writing) and Communicability; team working
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools
