Job Purpose

Ensures that engineering activities by EPC contractor are carried out in compliance with the project requirements and schedule.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Ensure the quality of engineering deliverables by EPC contractor, in compliance with project requirements, with deviations thoroughly documented as per project procedures.
  2. Understand key engineering problems and be responsible for engineering execution, review priorities, and provide clear direction to lead engineers (action plan, priority, timeframe).
  3. Implement the "Project Replication Philosophy" in engineering execution.
  4. Make timely and "fit for purpose" decisions regarding approvals or rejections of deviations, systematically referring to project benchmarks, conducting due diligence, and considering technical and execution risks.
  5. Deliver engineering deliverables by EPC contractor as per schedule, notifying relevant entities of any delays to find solutions.
  6. Ensure quality and timely completion of vendor engineering to prevent major technical issues at the site.
  7. Ensure engineering activities are fully completed as per schedule and avoid export of major pending issues to the field team.
  8. Establish strong teamwork within the PMT engineering team and with the EPC contractor.
  9. Perform technical reviews of EPC contractor's change proposals, especially from Project Pre-FEED / FEED phases, to facilitate timely decisions.

The Engineering Technician creates and maintains various reports and documentation. Conducts facility condition assessments. Creates and updates CAD drawings and other technical information as directed by the CE Functional / Operations Manager. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Conducts BUILDER SMS facility condition assessments.
  • Updates and maintains the BUILDER SMS database.
  • Assists in updating real property data for GPMS sites within the program.
  • Prepares various FMT / CE-related briefings, including Program Status Review (PSR) and Program Review (PMR) meetings.
  • Produces special reports, as required by the CE Functional or Operations Manager.
  • Collects data from various sources like Maximo and BUILDER SMS for inclusion in reports.
  • May conduct and document construction and maintenance project inspections as directed.
  • Manages electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Assists with the creation and update of AutoCAD drawings.
  • May travel to other GPMS sites within the program.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Works in normal office environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
  • Must have technical background to receive AutoCAD, BUILDER SMS and Maximo training if not currently qualified.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
  • May be required to work at exterior and interior locations throughout facilities in the program.
  • Light to moderate lifting as required carried out in an office environment.

    The College of Engineering and Technology invites applications for faculty positions in the Construction Engineering Department at the Associate Professor and Assistant Professor ranks for Winter 2026.

    Your Commitment

    As a faculty member, you will report to the Head of the Department and be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating a broad range of courses within Construction Engineering and related diploma, degree, and graduate programs. You will also evaluate student progress and manage the learning environment resources. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with industry and other educational institutions, participate in industry advisory committees, and coordinate, manage, and supervise final year/capstone projects within the specified program area.

    Experience

    • A track record of academic excellence from internationally recognized and accredited institutions.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of academic experience after the PhD.
    • A minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience related to the field of study.
    • Competency in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
    • Apply various teaching approaches in the classroom and for practice experiences, including the laboratory, simulation, and practicums.
    • Ability to use a variety of educational technology and platforms.
