About The RoleLead and mentor the team operating wire-drawing, stranding, and rewinding machines within the Metallurgy Scope Section. Ensure high-quality outputs from each machine by monitoring processes and enforcing production and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily team operations: guide operators, oversee raw materials, tooling, tools & tackles, and consumables in line with company and safety standards.
- Ensure machine operation adheres to work instructions and quality parameters for wire drawing, stranding, and rewinding.
- Coordinate production plans based on schedules from the planning department.
- Authorize production by verifying tooling, sampling machine output, evaluating control charts, and confirming proper identification tagging.
- Monitor & validate operator-recorded production, quality, and process data; take corrective actions for non-conforming products and escalate issues to Foreman.
- Oversee tooling logistics: ensure dies, tips, and marking segments are properly handled in coordination with the Die Shop.
- Drive continuous improvement: propose productivity and quality enhancements.
- Report raw-material or process issues, environmental concerns, and improvement opportunities to Foreman.
