We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to work in Dubai/Um Al Quwain located of our growing company.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the quality department,
• Knowledge of management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001,
• Good knowledge of problem-solving tools,
• Excellent skills in English,
• Analytical and process-oriented,
• Good knowledge of Netsis is preferred,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.

• To control the compliance of the raw materials, materials and equipments received from the suppliers or the customers in accordance with the quality standards,
• To carry out final product tests in any supplier plants.
• To carry out raw material incoming quality control and prepare periodic reports,
• To carry out studies to improve quality and efficiency with raw material suppliers,
• To lead production process control and test management,
• To carry out final acceptance tests for final products and prepare periodic reports,
• To examine every issue that creates poor quality, to take and follow the necessary actions, to take part in cost reduction studies,
• To examine and report actual or potential nonconformities, customer complaints and to ensure that corrective/preventive actions are carried out.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve materials proposed by contractors in accordance with Ashghal and project specifications.
• Evaluate material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Supervise on-site and off-site material testing and monitor results to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, QA/QC teams, and client representatives on all material-related matters.
• Conduct site inspections to verify proper handling, storage, and installation of approved materials.
• Maintain accurate records of material approvals, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Ensure full compliance with QCS 2014, Ashghal requirements, and all regulatory standards.
• Assist in resolving material-related issues and recommend alternative solutions when needed.
• Provide technical support to the construction team regarding the selection and application of materials.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years on Ashghal or major infrastructure projects in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of QCS, Ashghal standards, and international material specifications.
• Experience in working with contractors, consultants, and third-party testing labs.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.

Overview

QC Inspector - Electrical & Instrumentation

Working Hours & Days: 10 hours, 6 days a week

Duration: 3 months, extendable

• Experience in inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation and hook-up, and commissioning of oil and gas production facilities projects.
• Implement QA/QC activities including those of Subcontractors Works in accordance with approved QCP/ITPs and procedures, method statements and other Contract documents.
• Prepare and sign off applicable records for quality surveillance/inspections/tests.
• Ensure availability of appropriate version of applicable Work documents such as AFC drawings, specifications and international codes and standards.
• Provide sufficient feedback to Quality Manager/Engineer on day-to-day quality issues.

• Electrical Engineering Diploma, or suitable equivalent plus Trade Certificates in Electrical and/or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 8 years of working experience as inspection personnel for Oil & Gas projects, 5 years of which must be in the onshore Gas Facilities sector, preferably in LNG.
• Familiar with electrical and instrumentation specific codes and standards (i.e., IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA, ATEX/IECEX-60079, etc.).
• Experience in inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation and hook-up, and commissioning of oil and gas production facilities projects.

Description:

Note: This is a long-term contract, lasting 2 to 4 years.

Overview:

We are seeking to hire a QC Inspector for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role; GCC experience is preferred.

Fluency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement the client’s management system relevant to your function.
2. Ensure safety for yourself and others, actively participating in all safety matters during construction.
3. Prevent environmental pollution related to the project.
4. Coordinate inspection and testing requirements on behalf of the client.
5. Familiarize yourself with project and discipline-specific inspection documentation to understand contract requirements.
6. Be acquainted with international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., QCS, ACI, AISC).
7. Apply quality inspection procedures on construction activities, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
8. Ensure inspection, testing, surveillance, and survey documentation meets the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, and project requirements.
9. Complete forms and prepare reports on inspections and tests for record-keeping.
10. Communicate effectively with contractors, third parties, and end users.
11. Verify calibration records of measurement and testing equipment.
12. Assist in developing quality documentation such as method statements, work procedures, and inspection/test plans.
13. Help identify problems and non-conformances, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
14. Liaise with Field Supervisors and Contractors to coordinate construction testing.
15. Assist Quality Engineers in inspecting and reviewing quality documents related to various construction activities.
16. Monitor the implementation of quality procedures and QA/QC activities.
17. Ensure all civil activities adhere to project requirements, with proper testing and documentation.
18. Witness site and laboratory tests related to civil works.
19. Check materials and equipment against specifications and certificates.
20. Reject non-compliant materials and conduct random dimensional checks.
21. Follow up on corrective actions for non-conformances.
22. Monitor trends in non-compliance and provide feedback on contractor performance.
23. Initiate surveillance and NCRs for approval.

Requirements:

1. Civil, Structural, or Architecture degree/diploma with experience in quality control in multidisciplinary construction environments.
2. Preferably with formal QC training and membership in recognized professional bodies.
3. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role; GCC experience is desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of QC practices and testing related to Oil & Gas, Tank Farms, Pipelines, or Petrochemical projects.
5. Ability to work effectively with contractors and colleagues in multicultural settings.

Position : Quality Control Materials Inspector

Primary Functions:

• Determine conformity of material received to customer specification and relevant code/standard through independent inspection and tests in accordance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP). Identify nonconformity for

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assure material received in accordance with the PO, ITP, and Technical Specification, Codes / Material standards to determine conformity. All inspection results need to be documented on warehouse checklist and if nonconformity exists, suitable documentation (OS&D, NCR) shall be issued to establish corrective and preventive action.
• Perform receiving inspections such as visual, dimensional, verification of markings, review of Material Test Certificates / Inspection Release Notes in accordance with project specifications, codes / material standard and scope of work as noted in the PO and ITPs.
• Provide interpretation of applicable code/material standards and customer requirements. Any deviation, clarification and waivers deemed necessary shall be notified to the Senior Quality Inspector - Materials for generating change management process such as Site Query, Technical Query, Technical deviation, waivers etc.,
• Identify any additional testing requirement and arrange/coordinate with approved testing laboratories for testing with PMT approval. Participate in witnessing the lab testing as and when required.
• Coordinate / Interface with Warehouse, Purchasing, PMT, Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, and subcontractor assuring conformity to project specifications.
• Liaise with customer representatives ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted in the PO/ITP.
• Liaise with PMT/Buyers and Expeditors for quick resolution of OS&D. Attend OS&D meetings for the assigned project.
• Attend Joint Equipment Inspection as per project requirements.
• Visit vendor premises and conduct vendor inspections as and when required, as per PO/ITP.
• Exercise proactive approach in prevention of a technical problem by interaction with Purchasing, Engineers, and Management personnel.
• Conduct routine internal audits to assess the effectiveness of quality system outlined in the PQP/ITP.
• Participate in Toolbox Talks conducted in Warehouse to highlight the quality requirements and non- conformances noted during inspection.
• Conduct Quality Walkthroughs to ensure proper material storage and preservation.
• Notify all quality related concerns to the Senior Quality Inspector - Materials on regular basis.
• Liaise with Buyers to ensure Mill authenticity of materials received from Stockiest.
• Carry out advance MTC review (Supplier Materials Details) of stockiest materials to avoid OS&Ds after material receiving.

Position : Quality Control Inspector - Welding

Reports To: Project Quality Control Supervisor

Primary Functions:

• Determine product conformity to customer specification through independent inspection and tests in accordance with the Project Quality Plan. Identify nonconformity for rectification and assure final resolution.


• Liaise with Production Supervisor, Senior Principal Certification Tech, Discipline Engineer, Project Engineer, Operations Engineer, Field Engineer, Certifying Authority, Discipline Technicians, Sr. Inspector, Customer.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Appraise product quality in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plan and determine conformity and non-conformity. All inspection results need to be documented and if non conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action.


• Co-ordinate with Operations, Production Supervisor, Client, Job Sharing personnel and subcontractor assuring conformity to project requirements.


• Perform field inspections of fit up & welding in accordance with project requirements and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.


• Proactive approach in prevention of a nonconformance by interaction with respective departments


• Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of Quality System outlined in Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.


• Conduct surveillance audit during execution of the project as per applicable procedures and plans.


• Perform surveillance checks on welding consumable storage and handling


• Perform surveillance checks on material storage and preservation.
