Job Description
Field Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for monitoring Civil Engineering activities at the Project Site, ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed by the Subcontractor (SC) and Main Contractor as per the Project Management Plan (PMP). They will also monitor project progress according to the approved work programme, in accordance with QCS standards, to enable QPM to deliver a quality project within the plan and budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Senior Civil Engineer and Construction Manager in construction activities, reporting work progress, quality control, safety issues, and corrective actions.
- Ensure construction work complies with QCS, approved shop drawings, and is executed according to approved methodologies and materials.
- Review and comment on technical submittals such as procedures, method statements, material approvals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Liaise with the Supervision Consultant and Main Contractor to protect existing services during construction.
- Coordinate with the Supervision Consultant and Main Contractor to resolve issues related to work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Minimum degree in Engineering (BSc) required. Proven experience of more than 6 years in a similar role is essential.
