Job Description

The role holder is responsible for managing the Group’s (operations & joint ventures) to drive Opco’s performance improvements, in order to maximize their return, analyze, consolidate their deliveries and provide meaningful reports to the senior management for informed decision making.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Monitor performance of investments and recommend strategies to remedy poor performance and implement best practices to provide clear window on the business performance.
2. Ensure that current investments and results are in line with the strategic top down targets.
3. Set up and lead the implementation of a financial performance monitoring process in order to provide accurate and up to the minute information to the Board in relation to the performance of its investments.
4. Manage the monthly closing, quarterly and Year-To-Date financial reports ensuring all inputs are accurate and broad and provide commentary and recommendations.
5. Lead the implementation of financial policies and procedures within the OpCo’s in own area ensuring they are adhered to and are working effectively.
6. Highlight any performance issues within the OpCo’s in order for corrective action to be taken, making appropriate recommendations as may be appropriate.
7. Recommend and agree suitable KPIs on which to report to management and boards to drive forward the achievement of targets.
8. Ensure that the Executive team and boards are kept fully informed on the Group’s performance against competitions.
9. Lead the implementation of monthly variance analysis, benchmarking, financial modelling across the OpCo’s in own area and ensure they have the necessary knowledge and ability to meet their requirements.
10. Work closely with Country finance counterparts to monitor performance and to ensure open discussion, review, verification, challenging and completion of Annual Budget and 5 -10 Year Business Plans.
11. Compile reports, detect dysfunction and propose solutions.

Job Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management or related discipline.
• Accounting & finance Qualification – CA, CMA, CPA, or similar, MBA in finance or Master in related discipline.
• Must have minimum of 12 years experience, 04 years within a telecom environment, or Strategic Investment unit, coupled with some exposure/understanding of medium terms business & strategic plan, consolidation, evaluation and investment opportunities.
• Worked at senior level with an organisation to formulate strategy.
• Proven ability to manage the delivery and development of financial performance reporting across a Group or large organisation.
• Knowledge of general accounting, General Ledger and financial statements in international standards.
• Strong experience in a Financial Reporting Environment and Financial Reporting Systems.
• Good working knowledge of Information Systems (Hyperion, Cognos, Oracle, OFA).
• Working experience with MS Office.

الهدف من الوظيفة: تطوير وتنفيذ استراتيجيات استثمارية فعّالة لإدارة محافظ العملاء وتحقيق أهداف العائد ضمن مستويات المخاطر المقبولة، مع الالتزام الكامل باللوائح التنظيمية الصادرة عن هيئة قطر للأسواق المالية وبورصة قطر.

• 1. تطوير الاستراتيجيات الاستثمارية: تحليل الأسواق المالية والاقتصاد الكلي لتحديد الفرص الاستثمارية؛ تصميم استراتيجيات استثمارية تتماشى مع أهداف العملاء ومستوى تحملهم للمخاطر.
• 2. إدارة المحافظ الاستثمارية: تنفيذ ومتابعة الاستثمارات في مختلف فئات الأصول مثل الأسهم والسندات والأدوات المالية الأخرى؛ مراقبة أداء المحافظ وتعديل الاستراتيجيات حسب الحاجة.
• 3. الالتزام والتنظيم: ضمان الالتزام بجميع اللوائح والقوانين الصادرة عن QFMA وQSE؛ إعداد التقارير الدورية المطلوبة من الجهات التنظيمية.
• 4. التواصل مع العملاء: تقديم تقارير دورية للعملاء حول أداء محافظهم؛ مناقشة الأهداف الاستثمارية وتحديثات السوق مع العملاء.
• 5. إدارة الفريق: قيادة وتوجيه فريق من المحللين والمساعدين الاستثماريين؛ تطوير مهارات الفريق من خلال التدريب والتوجيه المستمر.

• درجة البكالوريوس في المالية، الاقتصاد أو مجال ذي صلة؛ ويفضل الحاصلين على شهادة CFA.
• خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في مجال إدارة الاستثمارات أو تحليل الأسواق المالية.
• معرفة عميقة بالأسواق المالية القطرية والدولية.
• إجادة استخدام أدوات التحليل المالي والنماذج الاستثمارية.
• مهارات تواصل قوية باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية.

• تحليل مالي متقدم وقدرة على اتخاذ قرارات استثمارية مستنيرة.
• فهم عميق لاستراتيجيات إدارة المحافظ وتخصيص الأصول.
• القدرة على العمل تحت الضغط وتلبية المواعيد النهائية.
• مهارات قيادية وإدارية لتوجيه الفريق وتحقيق الأهداف.

• هيئة قطر للأسواق المالية (QFMA): الجهة التنظيمية المسؤولة عن تنظيم ومراقبة الأسواق المالية في قطر.
• بورصة قطر (QSE): السوق المالي الرسمي لتداول الأوراق المالية في قطر.

Our client, a leading international investment manager, is looking for an Associate to join their real assets investment team. This role will be focused on fund investments across the entire real assets universe including infrastructure, natural resources and real estate. What the job involves

• Supports in screening of new investments considering all relevant macro and industry trends in accordance with the department's investment mandate
• Evaluates new investments which includes receiving and reviewing offers for participation in new investment opportunities
• Supports in evaluating and maintains relationships with GPs, advisors and industry contacts
• Evaluates the performance of existing investments and seeks to improve value through the consideration of strategic initiatives
• Benchmarks investment opportunities against relevant peers and comparable companies / precedent transactions
• Sound understanding of the infrastructure and natural resources asset classes, including the attributes affecting the risk / return profile of different investment opportunities and the main elements necessary to construct a well-diversified portfolio

Who we are looking for

• MBA or other advanced financial qualification desirable such as ACA, CFA
• Relevant work experience in a buy-side role doing fund investments, covering the unlisted real assets sector (such as infrastructure, natural resources or real estate)
