Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Telecommunications Supervisor, located in Doha, Qatar. The Telecommunications Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the telecommunications team, ensuring efficient communication systems and network performance. Responsibilities include supervising and training team members, managing telecommunications projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year Technical Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of telecom, smart metering, or IoT networks and equipment.
• Proficient with head-end systems and meter data management applications as an advanced level user. Experience with Siemens EnergyIP and Siemens SIE UDIS is preferred.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in testing, installation, and maintenance of meters/communication and measuring equipment.
• Experience with RF communication for smart metering/IoT devices, cellular, and MBUS communication for smart meters is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with telecommunication and connectivity testing equipment.
• Strong skills in reporting, site data analysis, and field work monitoring. Ability to manage technician teams and instruct troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, ERP, and GIS applications.
• Basic knowledge of IT, including desktop/windows software, IP addressing, LAN/WAN services, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel between venues/depots for configurations, installations, inspections, and site-related work, including outside normal office hours.
• This position requires mobile communication outside normal hours for emergencies.
• Preferred bilingual in Arabic and English.

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager - Business in Retail to expand their B2B operations across markets. The role involves developing and executing Go To Market Strategies for the Direct Retail B2B market, focusing on SMEs and micro businesses. The incumbent will collaborate with Operating Companies to establish consistent group guidance and strategies for Retail Channels.

Additional responsibilities include creating training and accreditation standards for the Retail Channel, developing and monitoring a standard scorecard for Operating Companies' performance assessment, and establishing a B2B Sales Academy to promote best practices across markets. The position reports to the Group Director B2B and requires significant travel.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Experience in building a B2B retail channel in emerging markets targeting SMEs and micro businesses
• At least 10 years of commercial experience, including 2 years in P&L management of Retail Business channels
• Experience in training a sales channel to standard processes and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of mobile voice and data, fixed voice and data, Hosting/Cloud Services, and Unified Communications, especially their value to businesses

Technical position with detailed knowledge of networking, particular to the construction industry. Provides networking support during design and implementation phases of customer projects, including network pre-sales quotes, estimation, and design. Also provides post-sales support. In-depth understanding of LAN / WAN systems and related issues, with a focus on at least one of the following areas: CCTV, IT, AV, or ELV.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Under the supervision of Senior Network Engineer or Technical Manager, supports project pre-sales engineering design and implementation.
• Designs, installs, configures, and tests active components of IP networks as directed.
• Follows industry standards related to networking.
• Configures, analyzes, and troubleshoots active IP networks, including switches/routers, firewalls, DMS, wireless, or advanced IP Voice systems from various manufacturers.
• Addresses product-related issues with manufacturer TAC/support staff.
• Recommends upgrades or system improvements as required.
• Engages with multiple industry vendors and equipment providers.
• Maintains certifications and keeps up-to-date with technological developments in his area of expertise.
• Supports the Implementation Team as a Project Engineer, providing basic engineering support and detailed knowledge in his area of expertise.
• Assists in developing written procedures related to the position.
• Performs other tasks as delegated by the direct manager or superior.

Education, Experience & Certifications :

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in networking, with expertise in at least two or three of the following areas: Routing & Switching, WiFi, DMS, Security, Structured Cabling, and Collaboration.
• CCNA / HCNA / CCNP / HCNP / CCIE certifications or equivalent.
• Experience in designing network systems.
• Advanced skills in IP backbone structures, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and WiFi.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructures.

Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Requirements:
