About the Role
An exciting opportunity for Qatari Nationals to join the Qatar Airways HR - System and Administration team as HR Manager - Employee Services. This role is responsible to independently manage and exclusively provide HR Employee Services and advisory services to employees at all levels across the QR Group by ensuring alignment with HR Policies, compliance to legal and contractual procedures. Recommend best HR practices and HR solutions to the HR management to develop, determine and implement changes, maximize and improve the quality of services and policies. The role is accountable for managing timely day-to-day operations of Employee Services adhering to HR policies & procedures.
The position also is responsible to independently manage the daily running and management of ASK HR through effective use of resources, by setting & meeting customer service targets as well developing key areas of improvement. The role will be responsible to manage and resolve all complaints pertaining to Employee Services department.
Your duties would include:
- In charge of HR Employee Services unit/s i.e. leave administration / employee banking, issuance of bank / salary / service letters, personal/dependent details update, system administrator for e-staff travel system and automation of various HR Services for QR & Subs.
- Provide info and guidance to the HR Business support / other management staff with regards to various activities / procedures handled by HR Services in line with company policies.
- Ascertain and escalate submission of falsified document cases to management / HR Business support team for further investigation and disciplinary action if required, since it is considered as gross misconduct.
- Create absence types in HRMS/GEMS application providing required rules and validations in order to accommodate new leave types with the help of IT.
- Coordinate with legal department for verification of documents related to HR benefits, such as marriage certificates, birth certificates, adoption certificates, dependent details, attestations by to Ministries.
- Provide confidential reports related to the employees' leave and dependents to the C-Level when required.
- Liaise with departments / flight crew welfare / cabin crew welfare / crew leave team to reconcile and streamline the annual leave in line with absenteeism procedures.
- Provide guidance to Subsidiary HR in applying policies/procedures in line with company policies regarding the employee matters, respond to policy queries, dependence, leaves.
- Responsible to centralize and streamline HR Services across QR Group (QR & Subs) in order to avoid misappropriation of the leave and dependents data.
- Initiate and execute changes in procedures and systems, related to leave, employee banking, HR letters, Personal info update, Staff travel concerns for smooth functioning. Provide business rules and validations to IT in line with company policies and procedures.
- Accountable for various HR services provided to new joiners such as banking, account opening, issuance of family joining tickets etc.
- Responsible for the issuance of compassionate ticket/ leave in case of death of immediate family member and special cases approved by higher management on compassionate grounds.
- Accountable for the verification of medical documents pertaining to sick and maternity leave for all QR Employees within QR Group.
- Accountable for verification of documents for update of homebound Airport details for Cabin Crew and Subsidiaries, such as checking annual leave destinations.
- Ensure all calls answered efficiently and in timely manner and ensure all complaints are resolved in a professional manner in line with the SLA and QR standards.
- Create SOPSs to handle complains and calls in ASK HR and set targets to deliver a speedy, efficient and quality service to customers.

- In cooperation with IT, design and implement a standardized technology solution for ASK HR and Employee Services.
