In this Warehouse Supervisor position

  • Execute service quality plans and processes to guarantee quality levels and improve service quality
  • Contribute to optimization and improvement projects, draft updated process, and prepare for the implementation
  • Recommend to upgrade/ improve the working business model of the respective operations centers and execute improvements, while maintaining the required operations turnaround time
  • Implement service quality inspections in order to achieve compliance with internal and external quality standards, relevant regulations, licenses and certifications
  • Assess customer requirements, performance data, internal auditing programs, etc. and prepare statistical reports to track service quality and examine effectives of various processes

  • Oversee compliance with set quality standards and standard operating procedures across the sorting, warehousing, transportation and delivery processes
  • Work with external vendors, contractors or suppliers to ensure that their products or services meet the organization's quality standards
  • Advise operations team to advise on special handling resolutions for difficult shipment issues and projects, track shipment movements and maximize space utilization
  • Observe and coordinate with other departments to report weaknesses, ineffective procedures, policy exceptions and discrepancies and make recommendations with appropriate corrective actions
  • Study and execute improved practices related to service quality work methods focusing on delivering continuous improvement and enhanced service standards

Warehouse Supervisor
to oversee the daily operations of our retail & fashion warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient inventory handling, and maintaining high standards of quality control and safety. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of fashion merchandise.

  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and stock discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (4+ years) as a warehouse supervisor or similar role in a retail or fashion environment.
  • Competency in using WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), Microsoft Office, and barcode scanning devices.
  • Experience in operational optimization including advance Excel skills.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with fashion retail products, handling, and packaging requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

Supervise all warehouse transactions/activities to meet the operational and quality requirements of receiving, inspection, storing, preserving, reporting and issuing materials/assets of the company, maintain and improve the warehouse infrastructure, monitor and control various aspects of inventory, develop constructive working relationships and addressing staff challenges to achieve high levels of end user satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategy and Performance Management

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Department short to mid-term strategic plan to ensure alignment with the Department's strategic priorities, and the corporate goals.
  • Development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial and strategic objectives of the Departments.
  • Monitor, control and report key performance indicators related to the assigned area in order to track performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop a systematic approach for evaluating and prioritizing initiatives that directly support the client strategic objectives.
  • Monitor industry developments and trends to stay ahead of other companies.

People Management

  • Supervise the activities and work performed by assigned resources to ensure that it is carried out safely, in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Supervise the performance management process by setting annual objectives, and developing staff through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback.

Warehouse Transactions and Documentations

  • Develop warehouse operation strategy with the goal to control costs within approved budget, generate savings, rationalize inventory.
  • Review and approve all transactional documents to control and properly document daily warehouse transactions.
  • Collect data and submit warehouse statistics (variance, stock value, metrics, etc.) in order to monitor warehouse transactions/activities.
  • Supervise all the warehouse activities and assign tasks in the EWM to ensure that fair load distribution between the teams.
  • Coordinate with end-user for inspections of newly received materials, preservation requirements, issuing plans, movement of the refurbishment materials …etc. and resolve any issue to ensure smooth operations.
  • Plan the resources required for any projects and tasks and ensure that proper approvals are granted
  • Approve the timesheet and overtime after review for all assigned resources.
  • Approve the invoices for any services performed within the warehouse under any contact before posting the SES.
  • Ensure the compliance with the safety and regulation and report any near-miss or incident immediately, contribute to identify the core cause, identify the required actions and the implementation plans.
  • Implement improvement systems, processes and stoking plans to reduce the movement and operation cost.
  • Comply with Chemicals, Catalysts and Additives (CC&A) receiving, preservation, stocking and issuing procedures and safe handling of the Chemicals.
  • Manage the external storage and local services contracts.
  • Coordinate with any stakeholders for escorting (inside or outside the fence), gate pass of any type of materials.

Inquiries and Communications

  • Coordinate and facilitate the movement of loan materials from Qatar Energy or its affiliates.
  • Liaise with Contractors regarding SES and payment processes.
  • Collaborate with End-users and Production Planning to ensure proper coordination of all activities.
  • Engage with the Procurement team to provide any required vendor data.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to deliver necessary reports.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders for escorting and urgent shipment arrangements.
  • Communicate with the Security department for any gate pass or exit permit issues.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

  • Identification the opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes and practices taking into account 'international leading practices' in order to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide critical input to support the development of Section's systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure team members comply with all Section's policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Section to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
  • Acts as a role model and promotes the concept of proactive safety and takes personal responsibility to ensure that the subordinates work without at-risk behaviours and conditions in order to positively contribute to the overall goal of zero incidents.

Reporting

  • Prepare ongoing work reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet the departmental requirements, policies and standards.
  • Report shortages/overages and damages to the head of section for action ensuring highest levels of quality and accuracy are maintained.

Qatarization

Contribute to the development of Qatari employees. This accountability is applicable to expatriate employees only.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Required Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Preferred Qualification: Master degree in Business Administration or Engineering.

Experience

  • Required Years: 5 – 7 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 2 years at a Specialist / Professional level or at least 3 years working experience in company materials warehouse.
  • Preferred Years: Experience in Petrochemicals Industry.

About The Role
In this role you will lead RM strategies in Cargo Inventory Management Team on QR network destinations and ensure execution by Cargo Inventory Management Analyst.

Perform analysis on network results and take necessary initiatives in order to stimulate optimization improvement utilizing both commercial and operational opportunities.

Other additional responsibilities are inclusive but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for implementation of RM strategies for the region, managing and reporting back on compliance to strategies implemented by Cargo Inventory Management Analyst, communicating execution of all strategies and results obtained effectively to Cargo Inventory Management Manager for review and further changes if any.
  • Examine profiling of flights, daily booking trends, overbooking levels, entry condition levels and backlog to measure if current capacity & inventory control strategies are implemented and suggest changes to Cargo Inventory Management Manager.
  • Provide inputs to Cargo Inventory Planning Team on long term optimization process (seasonal allotment planning). Communicate information on constraint routes, opportunities and operational constraints in order to take effective decision on allotment requests in accordance with network level strategy
  • Provide inputs to Cargo Inventory Analytics team for structural and Ad-hoc modification to thresholds (entry conditions). Communicate information on demand, route constraints and future outlook.
  • Collaborate with sales organization for tactical support on business development opportunities and project movements.
  • Manage interface with Network Planning Team by acting as 2nd level escalation on Ad-hoc and structural schedule changes, revenue projections and issues related to long term or ad-hoc charter flights.
  • Utilize advance analytical tools and techniques to analyze large datasets related to bookings, load factors, market dynamics and other important data related to the business.
  • Coach Cargo Inventory Management Analyst to follow a network-based approach in order to optimize the network margin as opposed to individual flight legs and to ensure a high standard of service delivery. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all assets (IT, infrastructure, equipment, etc.) in the Asset Management system.

Track the lifecycle of assets (procurement, deployment, maintenance, transfer, disposal).

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards for asset management.

Monitor asset utilization to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Conduct periodic audits, reconciliations, and reporting of physical vs. system asset records.

Develop and maintain asset management policies, processes, and procedures.

Support incident, change, and configuration management processes related to assets.

Provide regular reports and dashboards on asset status, lifecycle, and budget impact.

Ensure security and confidentiality of data associated with IT and physical assets.

Contribute to continuous improvement of asset tracking tools and processes.

Desired Candidate Profile
