Requirements
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred in Aviation Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field required. • MBA or Master’s in Infrastructure Finance, Operations, or Strategic Management preferred. • Certification preferred in ICAO/FAA Aviation Safety/Security Certifications. • Lean six sigma certifications is preferred. • Deep understanding of airport operational workflows, safety protocols, and passenger service standards. • Strong background in systems implementation (SAP, AODB, FIDS, BHS) and operational analytics. • Proven experience in cost optimization, vendor/service provider management, and team leadership. • Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks (ICAO, IATA) and regional compliance standards. • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required.

This role is responsible for playing a key role in the maintenance, and support of applications by undertaking various roles as required by line management. Activities include requirements gathering, software design, architecture review, testing, quality assurance, application support/maintenance, stakeholder coordination, and liaison with suppliers. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to assess their needs and identify opportunities to add value through technology across the airport stakeholders.
- Facilitate gathering and documenting business objectives, functional specifications, requirements, data models and technical architecture to meet an identified business need.
- Prepare functional, non-functional, cyber security, data protection and technical specifications for COTS systems/products from external suppliers for implementation.
- Work with solution architects to design right technical architecture to meet business requirements.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of reported incidents in operational systems and ensure right changes are promoted following the established change management process.
- Liaise with suppliers of third-party applications and technology stacks to ensure timely preventive maintenance and prompt resolution of faults. Ensure that suppliers deliver their services with SLAs.
- Participate and be responsible for testing, training and implementation phases of projects and ensure compliance to established policies, standards and processes.
- Ensure adequate quality of documentation for ease of quality assurance, testing, operation and support.
- Support line management in work allocation to junior project staff and performing quality assurance checks as required.
- Manage delivery of subprojects or small systems and solutions, within the established procedures, quality standards and methods to achieve the targets of quality, cost, benefits and time-scales.
- Ensure all software developments/products, deliveries and IT process and procedures are implemented and followed in line with all established corporate IT policies, ISO 27001 and ISO 2000 standards for MATAR IT Services.
- Develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the business and to create new opportunities.
- This role is responsible for management of Enterprise & Airport Operational systems.
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), system design principles, design and coding standards and software maintenance.
- Experience in managing software implementation and support projects in an enterprise environment.
- Good understanding in following:
- Various programming languages, data modelling & development tools.
